whenever i get a chance at the open road i love taking my xb up past 100mph. . . heres the thing, once it hits 110 it maxes out. i read before that these were "capable" of 120 but no matter how hard i push my 5 spd, it dosent budge. anyone else have/feel the same way?

What mods do you have done to your ride. I've hit 118mph, but it took a while. Thats with custom cat back exhaust and intake.

Wow...it's so nice mommy let you ride home in the home. Next time think of something new to say instead of copy and pasting the exact same thing into different speed threads.

you TOWED a xB at 123MPH!?!?!?! I was really trying to not say anything in this thread - as triple-digit speeding just bugs the ____ outta me... but TOWING an xB at 123mph.... DUMB. Pure, undiluted stupidity.

I would dare anyone to let stupidity fall outta their mouths in trying to defend that.

I haven't pushed my baby beyond 80 and that was only a few times. It likes to settle at 65-70. I guess I'm the slow poke around here.

I'm just glad the thing can get out of its own way. I mean, it looks like it couldn't pass a garbage truck without a tailwind and three guys pushing. So I'm thrilled it can more than keep up with traffic -- even with an automatic.

that is the smart one around not putting anyone else in danger.

i didn't put anyone else in danger, it was a closed course with emergency people at the ready.

...and there aint a damn thing wrong with that! That's exactly what the course are for.

As much as I rail against all the speeding stories... I've buried the needle into 200mph more than a few times - in recent history (no... not in box  ). But just like dg .. on a track where it was ok and I was the only one at risk of dying. Nothing wrong with 'speeding' - IN THE RIGHT PLACE.

Tracks - knock yourslf out!

Public Roads - ... can't even think of anything to say about that without being a rude a-hole.[/b]

I don't like to go past 75 mph....don't want to risk getting pulled over and having a ticket that will mess up my license and insurance....tend to go slow on the highway...no need to be going fast...

LOL...comes with age I suppose. I could tell you some hairy stories about me at 17 burning up the road in my mother's 1970 T-Bird with a 429 Thunderjet in it.
