Hey guys I just installed my gearswitcher today and of course I love it :-). His instructions were great, but there's a couple things that I wanted to share that will make it easier for future installers, so here ya go:

1. His directions do not include removal of the shifter cage, the following link explains fairly well how to do it if you are confused at all: http://trdsparks.com/install/00602-30301-140inst.pdf

2. yes the crosspin washer sucks. Save time and plan on using a dremmel like he directed, I have no clue how anyone has suceeded in an instal sans dremmel.

3. In regards to step 17: http://doctorisotope.com/images/step17.jpg
Don't do that; its way more work than necessary. Make your life easier and put some water in a pot and heat it up on a stove. Dip the end of the stock shifter with the plastic piece on it into the water to heat it up, This will make the plastic softer and you can literally pop it off with your thumb. This also makes putting the pastic end on your new shifter as you can again just pop it on.

Anyway good lock futre Gearswitcher owners! I hope my tips are of use :-)

P.S. since i got a 2" drop I obviously had to mod the boot, what do you guys think?:

Do you guys think I should work on it a bit more to remove more of the bunching? i think it looks good but maybe it could be better....

lol what are you talkin about the wrist band is mad sexy.
The boot isnt actually too big of a deal, whole ordeal took about 45min of trial and error.

Thought about other knobs, looked at everything the Doc offers, looked at knobs from OBX, greddy, spearco, etc. And decided no other knob looks like it will feel ad good to me :-/

It might get the leather wrapped TRD one just so its not stock but idk

hmm, yeah I think the 'waisted' isn't really for me, just not my taste :-). Also idk if you guys can tell from the pics but i worked the chrome wring so that it still fits and idk if any of his knobs would look good with it...

doc i sells a ring like that for his shift knob. its made out of the same material as his knobs so it matches perfectly =)
i have a greddy counterweight knob and it looks ok with the ring =)

Doc I's products FTW! I've got the 2" drop with pineapple knob. Def. one of my favorite mods, combined with the bushings the shifts are very solid!
