Default Seat material wearing out

does anybody have issues with seat material wearing out? hmm My car has 30,000 and change, and I'm pretty **** on keeping it clean and showroom new. in other words no stains from food nor cigarette burns

I also have the extended warranty. Would replacing the material be covered for seats?

just curious if anybody can offer some comments and advise before I go to the dealer. thanks

You should call them first and see if they'll cover it but I doubt it. Its more-so a wear & tear item IMO.

Why do you think Toyota calls it a warranty? It is illegal to call it a guarantee because the word is too strong in court.

my car has 29k and seats still look new.

i'd like to know what you're using to clean your seats if it's already showing wear.

the seats are crap. water stains them and they fade quick.

sorry yall, my seats are just fine. must have been a shadow or something.

not using any cleaners just a trusty vacumm and maybe a wet rag saturated with H2O sometimes.

either your vacuum is uber powerful, or your rubbing really hard with that rag (or maybe it has a very acidic pH level) but i don't know if toyota would warranty it. it can come down to your behavior getting in and out of the car, if you really slide around and work the fabric or something against your clothes. but i mean...hmmm...i'd have to say that seats are a wear and tear item so to speak...

i know my dad had the inteior of his porsche repaired under warranty because the dashboard near where it meets the windshield started to warp, and obviously that is something that would only happen from manufacturing defect, and not wear and tear because i mean, it is a dashboard.

but the sun is a constant for all cars. in all the vehicles my family has owned (some of them up to over 10 years) none of them had damaged dashboards frome the sun, and we only havea two car garage, so there are always several cars sitting in the driveway under sunshine, so a porsche cayenne between 2-3 years old shouldn't have a dashboard that is starting to warp.
