10 questions for my tC owners.

Default 10 questions for my tC owners.

whats going on. i don't know if i need to make a intro post or what?... but I'm planning on buying a tc i don't know what year..but have some questions...general questions thats why i decided to post it here. thank you in advance for your reply.

1. dose the tc have equal length drive axles? how is the torque steer?

2. i plan on turboing my tc and wondering what people are using for fuel management? emanage? safc?

3. the supercharger they sell as a accessories, what all dose that come with? (is the supercharger just straight bolt on and the MAP? sensor picks up positive pressure and adjust fuel with out new injectors and some kinda of piggy back?[keep dreaming??])

4. what type of (process of making) are the pistons and rods made of?

5. what are common problems people are running into with turboing the tc?

6. will the engine bay house a t3 with out major problems?

7. on a xB i saw a button of a champagne glass in the center console ?? i pushed it and didn't see anything happen.. what is that about??(off topic i know but ?) if u have no idea what i'm talking about, don't think i'm crazy but it was a used car at the dealer i work for and maybe the previous owner put that in for ?..

8. whats the 1/4 mile time on a stock tc?

9. i guess if i go after market radio i loose all the steering wheel controls?

10. dose the factory stereo have rca output?

It's 1 wheel drive a lot even in stock form.
that should pretty much answer the rest of the questions....... as in, turbo tC = major investment = not worth the $$ (unless youre absolutely in love with it)
It sounds like you have good plans and know what youre looking for though. Hope you have a large bank account, a lot of patience, and love 1 wheel drive (LSD= more $$).

1. no, the drive shafts aren't equal, so there is torque steer under hard acceleration.

2. emanage ultimate, or AEM F/IC

3. the supercharger kit is a standalone kit, it has everything necessary for installation, supercharger, intake hoses, oil lines, bigger injectors, colder spark plugs and thermostat, and a reflash module to change the fuel map to the TRD tune for the supercharger, but this has to be done by a toyota dealership.

4. don't know what process they are made from, but they are not forged internals, but they are pretty beefy, there are lot of daily driven turbo tc's that make 10 psi.

5. common problems with turbo'ing the tc...bad installs, ebay kits, bad seals (lots of time that is a turbonetics turbo. and the ECU can relearn so it can lose the effectiveness of the tune from the piggyback ecu.

6. shouldn't have a problem fitting a t3 turbo, lots of stage 1 kits come with t3/t4 hybrids. some people have fitted bigger turbo's without much clearance problems

7. yeah, the xb does not come with a champagne button stock, no idea what they had done with it, drinking and driving does not mix.

8. stock 1/4 mile time is 15.6 seconds.

9. yes, sorry, radio controls don't work with aftermarket radios, if it really bothers you, get an 05 model, they didn't come with them.

10. don't know what that is, not an audio guy.

10.5 luckily for you i had the time to answer most of these, but alot of people would tell you to search.

9.) Some aftermarket Stereos do interface with the wheel controls. The Avic D3 does with an optional accessory for example.

10.) I don't believe so, the premium upgrade does however. (08 model)
