i went to a local car stereo shop, one that i don't use but it was by my house, just to see if the new deck was in stock. well i went in and they said it had a recall. any one else heard this? or have this deck?

Yea, all the DNX8120 decks were recalled, so I'd bet the DDX812's were too. Something about correcting the firmware on the USB connections I think. Anyway, just got my 8120 in this week and love it!!

I'd recommend spending a little more ($200-$300 depending on sale) and getting the DNX8120.. You get a 13-band Equalizer and Garmin navigation system.. well worth it!
