the only problem I'd have is the fact that my subs are in the way for that, but I've been debating on doing something with a decent sized dome tent

how does your hatch stay open?

I know mine's gettin weak , and with a asecond platform pulling down on it...

The only thing the hatch holds up is the canvas,Never had any issues with it getting weak,3 years 72K miles and I ride with the hatch open alot.

I think what he meant was, if your sleeping in it, or have any weight in the back, what keeps the hatch from coming down?
Its a very cool idea, good job!

Sorry I misunderstood and the pictures didnt show how it is supported these may help.Still not the best pictures showing the base but it is a bar that fits into a hitch that has pipe up to the plywood.I'll take better pictures when I set it up at the show next Saturday.
