Sory guys, but don't ridicule me for asking this. I know its a n00b question, but how do you get sponsered by major companies. i've heard of a lot of people getting sponsered and getting free stuff for their car; does it come at a price....anyway any help on how to get sponsored would be greatly appreciated

He is right though. Getting sponsored takes alot of effort on your part, and a potential sponsor is not likely to help you with a sponsorship if you can't spell the word. Its a professionalism thing.

A) Don't bother asking for a sponsOrship if you are not going to show at least five times in national shows
B) Don't bother sending anything if you don't have built car or a strong future (in the midst of an actual build)
C) Don't think you will get anything for free. You need to build a reputation as a worthwhile asset to the company before they will start handing you products to whore out for them.
All the tC R&D is pretty much done. No major company is gonna sponsor some Joe Schmo car unless it can offer some nice publicity. I couldn't even get Seibon when my car was going to the autoshow in New York!

hey man, you should be thanking him... if you sent in a resume and spelled sponsor wrong they wouldnt even read anything after that. like mentioned earlier, it takes alot of rep, time, MONEY, and patience... and MONEY to even get a percentage off of product. one of the biggest things you can do is go talk to all the vendors at shows and see what they have to offer for your car. even if your car isnt show quality, go out, put it in shows to where at least people see your progression from stock > show quality. if you talk to vendors, buy from the same vendors, and establish a good relationship with them, its very possible they may sponsor you in the end. granted you will probably own everything of theirs.... but remember it takes money to get into shows, they may end up helping you in that ;). just dont expect alot of free stuff as its probably not going to happen right away. moral of the story.... it helps to know people... cuz people know people who know people :lalala:
ok im done :blah: haha
