Hey Guys,

I am new to the boards and enjoy the forums well. I have been reading and deciding for some time now but finally done it.

Last night, my wife and I traded our 04 WRX :cry: in for a 05 BOP Xb :D . At the time when we bought the wrex we never considered having kids but now we have a three month old ,we are learned fast that a wrex isn't practical. We have alot of junk we haul around example. stroller, babybags, laptop, groceries and my suits. We drive alot also about 44 miles a day. We considered many vehicles but the Xb turned out the best bang for our buck and we don't get to leave our youth.

The dealer ship had to order it and said that I should be able to pick it up in about 4-7 days. I look foward to the smiles at the gas pump, the gigantor interior room and writing the check to my insurance company. By what you guys post I feel that I have made the right decision.

Anyway, I still have a 99 GST that is pretty loaded. 6 bolt, 18g, nitrous and all the supporting mods. So all in all I still have something fast to drive. :wink: If you read this far. Thanks.

I've got a 4 and 7 year old and they love the xBox as my daughter calls it. Our other car's a Gr. Caravan, so they love to be able to roll down the windows in back which they can't do in the van. I like the fact that there is MORE rear legroom in the Box than in the van, means fewer times of me yelling "STOP kicking the seat". Also, it is easy for the kids to get in and out of the same side door. I don't have to run to both sides of the car and they aren't wriggling across. I can make our usual Costco run with 1 kid and splitting the rear seat. If I have both, it gets a little trickier, but still plenty of room. (you can always use the rear floorboards after the kids are in) The MPG is nice too, kids or not. THe van has the trip computer thing and the MPG hovers at around 14-18 regardless. Plus it is no fun to drive, unlike the Box.

Pics will come soon. My buddy has a civic with rota's but he has some Motegi MR3's gunmetal & yoko parada'a 50%left that he trying to let me have for $200. ( One of those rich kids no job mid 20's that still live with mom and don't care what happens to his money). I thinking about doing it, if I don't like it I could sell them.

Congrats dude. About the insurance, hopefully you have as funny as a convo with your agent as I did (A Sky-on? who makes it... are they new? I guess I was the first one for them).

You will get a lot of looks, especially at gas stations. I always roll down the windows (which is another thing I LOVE about the xB, ALL the windows go down ALL the way!) and peeps look in telling me they never thought they'd be that big inside.

And Gilrmore, I was like that too for the first couple weeks here. Here's some help...

PW= Polar White (xA/xB)
SSM= Silver Streak Mica (xA/tC)
PGP= Phantom Grey Pearl (xA)
IIP= Indigo Ink Pearl (xA/tC)
TCM= Thunder Cloud Metallic (xB)
CM= Camoflage Metallic (xB)
BOP= Blue Onxy Pearl (xB)
BSP= Black Sand Pearl (xA/xB/tC)
BCP= Black Cherry Pearl (xA/xB/tC)
FM= Flint Mica (tC)
AP= Azure Pearl (tC)
SW= Super White (tc)

I never thought it was that big inside until I stepped into it. Both my wife and I were amazed. I can't wait until our first runs to Gas station, Sam's Club and the Grocery store.

Wow was this a local dealer option? I asked our dealer about wheels and Dvd. Both answers where " Sorry if it ain't on the Scion website, then no"

:!: JUMP on the wheel deal your buddy is offering. That is a great deal. You won't always have 20 something, spoiled friends who don't know any better. Take advantage while you can. :wink:

Oh, & you can add the headrest set up through the aftermarket. Most times, the dealer is overpriced anyway when it comes to add-ons.

when i rolled into d dealer this is what they had in their showroom, with all the trimming. i would've opt. for stock, but i could not let this RS0.1 go through my fingers
it's a Hot Lava!!
there was another RS0.1 that left the dealer with a new owner, i could not let this one go by, no way.
so here i'am, with my hotxB990
heres some pics of the dvd & also the wheels that came with the package.(too bad the dropdown isn't a 10inch, maybe later.)

Man, Hotbx990 your box is gansta! I like that drop down. I might do something like that in the near future. Those road trips would seem to go alot faster with a nice chill movie playing.

I know I am seriously thinking about it. I wanted something more on the Silver w/ a lip side but Gunmetal Motegi Mr3's might be alright.

Dsm's are addictive, temperamental and they really turn into a money pit. The Xb will truly brake up the monotony being that it is very reliable.

my first mod..a car seat!

My first mod will be a car seat also but I can't wait until he is old enough for a booster seat pretending he is driving like his pop.

Yes DSM's are addictive I got started modding mine when the turbo went and the valves needed to be redone when the car was about 1yr old

I looked at the STi, the EVO and the SRT-4 as my daily driver since my turboed Neon is getting some miles on her. But I really needed somsthing that had enough space for 2 car seats. The xB has about as much leg space (front-to-back) as my Expedition. But for the price and the mileage you really can't beat the xB.

The WRX was nice for us but just not practical. Out of all the research that I and others have done competitors really just can't beat the xb. It is the best bang for your buck.
