Default I finally did my city lights!

And I gotta say, I'm quite happy with it.

So, I was trying to find a way to do this without cutting into the headlight. I heard that a 3mm LED fits into the small opening to the left of the bulb (where the retaining clip locks in) but I had 5mm LEDs. They didn't fit.

On to another idea. My HID bulbs have a halogen highbeam attached to em, but I never wired em up. If you remove the bulb and cut away the now unneeded wiring, you are left with three pre-drilled holes.

2 5mm prewired LEDs fit perfectly. (I tried 3, but they were too close together and weren't really pointing straight)

So yea, the LEDs are wired up to come on with the parking lights.

Here are the pics!

So, what do you guys think?

I like the whitish tint. Can you take a further away shot showing the front of the whole car?

when i had my tc i changed the city lights with a five led bulb (along with everyone else who owned a tc) after awhile the leds burned out. people said it was becuase of the heat from the headlight bulb. im wondering how long these leds will last. keep us updated.

I will do that. Since HID puts off less heat than a traditional halogen, I'm not really worried.

I've been running without a highbeam for over a year now, never needed it. We don't have inspections here either, so shouldn't be an issue. If it is, all I have to do is pop in my stock bulbs and it's done.

I used a single 10mm LED (from Oznium) in the headlight and have had it installed for a few years now. They have never burned out, and there has been countless times I left them on overnight, or for hours on end at shows and driving around...stuff like that.

FYI - if you remove the bulb you can insert the LED through there, then run the LED wires through the opening. I got a single 10mm on each side.

Well, we'll see. LEDs are cheap, I don't care either way.

Yea, it's like a 30 second swap this way. It's really an ideal placement, IMO.

Here's two pics I took tonight (phone pics, not great, ah well)

Mine are on a switch in the cabin. Turns on the white grill area cathodes and the blue LEDs in the headlights.
