so after reading the post about tcridinclean tinting his tbl red, and advice from Tcpete, i decided since i had today off i would tint my tails and tbl red.
i didnt do step by step cause FLEA already has a very detailed DIY so here are just pics of the outcome, sorry for crappy pics, it was cloudy all day and i still have to install the other one, but i wanted to post up while i had daylight, plus we were doing my lights and jts88's, we simply tinted his black though, and there are enough pics of those, however i havent seen anyone do what i did on here, so here it is

stock tail

i taped up the edge so it still almost looked factory, and left the reverse part clear

candy red paint and clear

i just got some automotive candy red from advance auto, the thread i got the idea said to use model car paint but i went to walmart and they no longer sell model cars and took everything off the shelves, and the closest hooby lobby or micheals is about 25-30 miles away and traffic is nuts in little rock anytime after 4 so i just picked up some dupli-color, still need to wetsand and buff, ill be doing that tomorrow

And that's a big deal because?... It's not like he drives in reverse. I did it to my TYCs
and I've had no problems reversing out of parks and people stopping. I just think it
would look a lot cleaner all red. Just my opinion.

 

Can anyone photoshop that to all red?

 

i had 07 lights on my car and wasnt a fan of the full red look, i think this looks better being only half red on a sw, maybe other cars would look better all red, but i wasnt a fan of it the first time around

 

maybe you should clear and polish em out shiny.

they got 3 thick coats of clear, im just going to let them dry over night and then tomorrow ill lightly wetsand them and buff them out, so they will look good come tomorrow

i think you shoulda went around the reverse light, so it looks like the accord coupe tail lights
