Yea I've got the same question. What's the quietest exhaust out? The xB wasn't necessarily made with the best sound deadening material and I don't want to get pulled on a Saturday night by the cops because of my loud exhaust.

Any suggestions?

BTW clean PW and I feel you on the Christmas lights...

Well if that was a rhetorical/sarcastic question... then I get it, but if you're asking if I have a stock setup then yes.

I'm stock with a tip and I want an exhaust but minus the ridiculous noise on the xB. I'm asking if anyone could suggest an after-market exhaust that is quiet... or the quietEST one available.

If anyone does have any suggestions, feel free to PM me. I'm not trying to threadjack this post or anything...

LOL a muffler for paps huh... Well seeing how TRD is even optional from the dealer, at least I could argue that its OEM.

But my main concern was the sound. I mean if I modified my xB to conform to the standards of EVERY law in FL, it wouldn't fit my style. I'm already killing some laws with my headlights, so that's not REALLY my problem. I just didn't want the sound to totally overkill my thought process while driving; ya know...

Thanks though, I'll invest in the TRD.

Now to stay on topic: NICE PW. Love the taillights and painted headlights. One question about the headlights though, does it hinder your vision at all? I always wondered about that. It doesn't look as though it would affect the high-beam because only the sides are painted, but doesn't the low-beam use the sides that are painted?

haha thanks for the responses guys.

as to your exhaust question 2black2box, i heard the greddy sp2 and the greddy evo 2 were pretty quiet. also the tanabe medallion, just haven't had the funds to get my hands on one. but i heard those weren't ridiculously loud.

and i was looking at other people's replies... i don't know if it isn't noticeable but my PW is already dropped on s-tech's.. settled and everything. maybe the angle just isn't giving enough justice? or maybe i just need more of a drop...

next up in the list of mods: e'SAM window visors, or spirit wing.

oh and to the painting headlights thing, it doesn't affect the output at all. as long as you paint the non-reflective parts, that would be the bumpier parts along the sides of the headlights, the output will be the same.

my only first-hand advice if you decide to paint your headlights is to make sure you mask it well to prevent it from bleeding. i messed up a little so if you were standing in front of my headlights and looked inside, you can see some of the paint that ran through. and it really can't be removed without messing up the "reflectives". my 2c.

I see.... thanks man; helpful info, although I'm more interested in projectors that halogens. I just wondered if it did in fact affect the output.

Sucks that your paint bled though. As long as its not major, you're fine.
