i just wanted to put my 2 cent's in here as well....ok i went to this place cuzz my bro and some buddy's sayed oh go there thats were i went ..so i went ...man was that a bad idea...i went to order my parts... 2 , 7' inch monitors,dvd player,2 channel headset.wires,rf modulater,game plate(to plug in my xbox) i orderd it nov 8 it's now nov 28 and the only thing he has is the dvd player...bull crap huh...all he say's to me is i have to wait cuzz it's on speacial back order wtf.....wont give me a refund cuzz he say's i cant camncel a special order but he said if i want to get a beeter monitor he can cancel the old order but i have to pay 200 more...what can i do ....does anyone know how long legaly i have to wait before he has to give me a refund...oh btw i paid bout 1100 for everything and allready gave 800 as a deposit...please healp me... any lawerys out there? sorry so long

Is the "special back order" all from the same company? If so, it could be on back order for some time. I just waited 6 weeks for Alpine to send me a processor, and I'm still waiting on the remote. It could be that they need to make a new batch of whatever was ordered. Although I work at a plumbing supply place, I see the same thing. Let's say Alpine had my processor in stock, I'd get it pretty quick. If it was out of stock, they'd wait for enough orders to be committed to (hence the no-refund policy) to make a new batch of processors. Trying to make one of something for a customer doesn't make sense at the corporate level. We also can't refund special orders unless they come in damaged, the wrong part........something like that.
That said, I don't buy the "you can't refund but you can upgrade" mentality. Why would he eat the 7" monitor order just so he can sell you a new monitor? He'd still make money, but he'd still have to sell the same amount of monitors after all that hassle. Something doesn't seem right here.............

thats what im thinking ,,,,i went on monday to order all the stuff ....when i orderd it he say's call me friday so you can come in and ill install it all..so the week go's bye i call friday..he tells me you know what i dont have the stuff i had to special order it..i say ok well how long will that take cuzz i dont want to wait 2-5 months he say's oh no the guy is gonna call me by the end of the night call me back ill let you know whats going on...ok so i wait till 6:00 call, nothing. calll again get the runa round (called 5 times) nothing .so i go to the shop saterday ....i ask whats going on .he tells me oh they guy didnt calll he'' call monday your getting mad for no reason all the bs..so i call monday and guess what nothing same bs.....and now im at this point getting frusrtaed and jsut want to cancel my order...3 weeks is bull .....

I say you get all the model numbers from each company, call the company, and ask them if they have it in stock. I do that all day long before I order sinks or faucets for customers, so I can tell them how long their orders will take. But companies can suck at calling people back. I say be patient but be persisent. It took me months for my stereo stuff to be assembled and another month without it for them to be installed, but it was well worth the wait, so hang in there!

k kool thanx ....i wouldnt mind waiting but he hasnt done non of that for me it just orderd it with out my permission and didnt ask how long he should do that ..but ill wait it a little longer..
