Mini Goes Away... :)
The mini looks to be dissapearing on Friday, out to Colorado. It will be a high altitude mini then...
I'm going to go car shopping for a more modern project afterwards and already have a few selections in mind. Not a Scion or Toyota though...
although all selections will be faster than any Scion or current Toyota available... (Nothing fits my fancy in Scion/Toyota Land project/power wise).
I'll still stop by Scion events with the white xB when I can, but I'm pretty busy now working at the Mission, as I'm now one of the chaplains on site and no longer work nights, but most afternoons and evenings...
See you around.

The ol' tC got parted out eventually I think... The girl who bought it sold the seats and doors, and I'm sure more... she's been working in some interesting places I heard as well... possibly "Dancing".
Who knows really though... I remember what it was and what I did with my own hands... doesn't matter to me much where it ends up, if you know what I mean.
The guy who's buying the mini seems nice enough... I'm sure he'll have fun with it.
I'm really trying to stay "Normal and Unique" with my next project... I want a good basis to work off of and not have to start with low power and build it up. I'd rather tweak a higher power car for a bit more and then work on looks/suspension and components. It's more appealing for me to work with subtle things and paint (with Nick), than spend thousands getting power out of a stock non-high hp N/A engine...
I just struggle against the stereotypical setups (like wrx, evo, golf, anything honda, etc...) I like stuff that's different a bit....
Thus where Scion came in and once was... the first xB and for a good while, the tC, which is now a dime a dozen at shows, were the more unique and untouched rides. The mini was a super-unique fun one... I never drove up next to another in normal driving.
My criteria is more or less - Unique, Not Stereotypically a "Tuner" car, >200 hp unmodified, available aftermarket for performance/modification, and has a back seat (no matter how small). Plus - Cheap. I'm in no rush, I'll find something that I feel for.... or, I'll just sell out and build a typical civic or something. LoL...
It's more of a side thing now... not my main push or focus, but I still like to play in the garage and have fun making something "Timerized".

LoL - Nah... Well the mini got trailered away today and all my bills/cards/everything is paid off and gone... now to get more debt! Woo Hoo! (Actually a car at 5.49% isn't too crazy if I get the right price)
ok... the semi-quasi-maybe-if I can find one-possible cars-could be-uh-sorta-someday- are 2000-2003 S2000 or 2001-2003 Audi TT Coupe or Roadster (Only 6 SPD 225 Quattro TT though, not the 180 hp one)
They are both highly rated and great cars... I can chip the TT for more power right off the bat, but the s2k is an altogether mighty car out of the gate and is a reliable honda, rather than a less than reliable audi/"VW".
Time will tell. I'm in no rush to pick one up NOW, but that's what I'm looking at.

There is mod central for the ride.... it's more "Picky" though, as there are the "Mugen", "Spoon", Etc.... All the "JDM" stuff... I don't like most of those options though anyways.... the sweet thing is the engine is just so well engineered, that headers/intake manifold/exhaust are all just plain great and spending a ton to "improve" them just isn't the way people go, as most "improvements" are more money than power... I'm likin' it so far.... just weird having all the power so high up the RPM band.
