Hey i have been thinking about adding a little juice to my ride and been reasearching different kits....Well my question is since the TC is Drive by Wire and Squestional Fuel Injection(SFI) do we need to get a certain kit for the TC or can a universal kit work with out cars


I have been looking at the Zex Wet Kit and NX Wet Kit

any information would help thanks in advance

any wet kit should work. i havent heard of anyone running anything different. just make sure you get all the extras that not all kits come with...

I sell ny-trex kits. Been running it for 1.5 years without any issues. Just a word from the wise.... be careful with Zex kits... rumor has it that they have a lot of returns due to faulty components... instead of scrapping the kit they refurbish them and sell as new.

I can do a standard wet kit for $500+ shipping. It comes with everything needed for installation. Does not include warmer or pressure gauge. $640 gets the upgraded wet kit that includes solenoid block, purge function, fuel pressure safety switch, gauge, and more. im a 19 year old college student you can get a nitrous kit engine magenement tune and run a safe 50-75 shot for under 1k turbo kit is goingto run 5k+ im just trying to have a little fun and none of my other cars have i ever squeezed and i think i want to try once

 

yeah, and i mean, why listen to gale banks, what does he know about forced induction? lol.

i feel you on that college kid budget thing, but i don't like nitrous unless i'm playing need for speed. i just don't want it in my car. i'd rather have a turbo/supercharger that is just always there and ready to go and not going to be empty when i need it most (unless i run outta gas).

 

oh trust me i would love to boost the tc but i dont see it happening anytiime soon going to medical soon in 2 years if i squeek in and thats going to hurt he funds even more

 

why would you want to turbo when you dont have the $$ for it... Also a turbo is soo much more maintenance and in the future your car will possibly need ecu upgrades and fuel rails and stuff like that.. Turbo is fun to have if you have the $$ to fix the problems that arise.. if your like me a nos kit will save you $$ and time and if its set up the right way and your not a DA your engine will be fine!
