Default Unique Paint Job: Need Opinions

I need some opinions on a custom paint job I'm considering for a tC I haven't yet purchased.

I want to model it after the skin on this laptop:

Here are my questions about it:

1. What color tC should I get to serve as a base -- white or Waveline Pearl?
2. Does anyone have any idea how much this would cost, to do it from the back of the car to about midway toward the front?
3. How would it look? Any positive thoughts? Negative? What do you guys think?

Thanks in advance!

that would be hot for a female, I get a California feel from it too. I would imagine it would be 5k for like half or so but thats just an inexperienced person's guess

Yeah, for a girl I think its pretty slick. Although I don't like the roses, curls, things much. It would be pretty expensive too, over 3k at least to have it done right

^ Thats what I was thinking at first too but the only real way to get gradients like that is with an airbrush.

Get a wrap or get the white as the base color. If you were to get Waveline Pearl most of the pearl would be painted over with white. Whereas the white would be masked off, then spray a pearl/waveline color, unmask it then you got that squiggly line effect, the rest could be airbrushed on. Depends on which parts of the car you're doing and how big.

1. White
2. Ask your local shop *there is a thread on paint shops in CA I think*
3. Could look good as long as you take it to a good shop

Maybe a resident photoshop guru on SC can do a small favor for you ... ?

I think it would look amazing with the right wheels.

looks cool. Just ask your artist the best way to go for the base, prolly with the color that makes up most of the "canvas". My only concern is make really sure ou know how its going to look on the car. It might look good on the laptop but depending on how you size it and translate it to the car it can make or break the look.

Peace

yea if you are going to do it PLEASE make sure that your car will have a long list of tasteful mods to accompany your paint job. i cannot stand stock cars with custom paint jobs. i think it looks soooooooooo tacky...

I personally think that a car with mods coming out the wazoo is way tackier than a nice car without too many whiz-bang add-ons that happens to have a really nice paint job... but to each his/her own.

I say you get in contact with the shops, send them an example and then ask them the amount of $ it will be.
