Club sponsored events on closed courses? Or just fun in the sun? You really need 18" high performance wheels/tires to be competitive in the former. (Search the forums for more specific advice). Your tire size is fine for the later and would provide a kinder ride. (Speedo/odo will read about 1% faster than actual.) To be honest, the brand/model of tire and suspension upgrades have far larger impacts on cornering than small differences in tire size. Suspension upgrades: TRD (factory) or Tanabe (aftermarket) springs and/or swaybar improve handling enormously at the expense of a harsher ride. Two useful online calculators: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp JDMJim 05-08-2008, 09:36 PM You'll be fine. I use 235/45 on my 17's. make for a nice footprint. Albeit rain performance sucks. My front bumper can attest to that... Mynam3isazia 05-08-2008, 10:07 PM thank you so much i will try that |
