so I got tired of titanium, and seems like more and more people are getting it,
everybody also has the gloss black VRD grill

so I took mine off, picked up some flat black engine enamel paint and sprayed away.

so far I think im the only one thats done this, woopiee
I really like the look of it, its understated and clean looking

paint makes it look like oem texture, and it matches my flat black wheels

isnt it plastic? but yeah once the titanium finish fades better just repaint it.. but should have clear coated it if that helps

i say you shoulda used some sort of prep, sanding would have been a btch, but you couldve used some primer spray paint stuff. I painted the grill on my last car without really prepping, and i cleared it to, its starting to chip off and you can see the chrome underneath.

what about glossy black ?I dont want a glossy grill, I want an understated low pro grill.

in hindsight, I really wished I taped off the outer edges so Id have a silver trim like stock,
ah well.

I think it looks good, but it's going to look bad real soon when it starts to chip. You should sand it all down then repaint it.
