Has anyone bought the OEM Rear Spoiler from anywhere other than the dealer and installed it yourself? I've seen them for sale online and I see that you buy it already painted to match your car. All you need to do is install it. How hard is it to do?

i asked my dealer a similar question and they did not recommend installing it myself cause it requires drilling holes....but that is the dealer, and they prolly just wanted my money...

If you are comfortable with drilling holes in your brand new car than install it yourself. If not that maybe you don't want to try. First spoiler I ever installed was in a tC. I was scared but I have since then gotten over it and have done several more.

Stock spoilers should be easy, it's installing the aftermarket junk that is a pain because nothing lines up right.

I'm glad I had the dealer install my spoiler. Two parts have fallen off of it since then. The dealer had to send for a whole new spoiler to replace them, as the parts are not sold separately.

yup the original/stock rear spoilers needs 3 holes to be drilled.... 2 for mounting and another for the wire routing of the lights on the spoiler... which is y i told my dealer not to fix the rear spoilers for me... i kept it for a while.. and then sold it off... cant bear to get my car f-ed!

but i know the fabulous rear spoiler does not need holes... just clipped on brackets with lots of double sided tapes...
