So I just purchased an OEM lip kit. I noticed that there are clips, and from the installation manual you have to cut some slits in the front bumper. So I know that double sided 3M tape will work. I just want to know if any SL members have done it. I don't feel like cutting slits in my bumper, and I will eventually cut the clips and 3M. lol. I just wanted to make sure it's been done and it's been successful. Plus who's this Chris I heard about from LA/OC that helps out with painting and stuff. Alright guys send my your knowledge! just don't send junk.
YES CUT THE CLIPS!!!.. u dont' want to leave holes on ur bumper... trust me... i have 3m on mine.. and they work fine.. however for the front.. i suggest bolting the sides..

What kind of 3m tape would work the best and where to get it and how would i install it with the 3m tape?

yes cut the top clips, put double sided tape across the lip and it comes with like clips at the bottom which go between the bolts of your bumper and the platic panels at the bottom, screw the sides if you want and you can do the bottom as well to give it that extra support if you want. i wish i could get the RS1 front lip but mine came from factory and trust me, it does not look right once you remove it.
