Got my personal property tax bill from Henrico, VA today. Now my car is worth 9125 dollars and it qualifies for the car tax break. So instead of getting charged 326 bucks, they are only going to charge me 86 bucks. WOOHOO!!!

Your area does not charge personal property tax? Man, 600+ bucks a year from the county to own an xa was something that blind sighted me. My past few days were 0 as they werent listed in kbb any more.

is this above and beyond property taxes? Does VA have property taxes? Taxes for your land and home I mean by that. If your rent, do you owe this 600/year for owning your Scion?

 

You pay tax on what you own. Car, boat, rv, condo, house, land and or mobile home. You dont pay tax on stuff you rent.

One of the big things in the news in Richmond is they want to increase property tax, but the valus has stayed the same or go down. Since I am a home owner as of April 15th, I get to pay the years tax minues a few months before April. WOOHOO, then I get my car tax bill. At least its less from the automotive tax cut.

 

Remind me not to move to virginia. Pay tax on top of a car payment and taxes i paid at the dealorship yeah i dont think so.
