Now why would you want to do something like that to my work car?

I've been looking around also for an LSD.

The LSD's for the Echo will work in the Scion transmission, Cusco makes one, TRD Japan makes one, and some other joint in the US makes one...

it is. a little LSD and you'd see a Gallardo in your driveway instead of an xB.

are you sure it will fit? the manual transmission in the echo is different than the transmission in the xA/xB.

The only thing different is the final drive gearing, the whole transmission, besides the final drive, is exact.

To me, putting an LSD on an xA is like putting cross-drilled brake rotors on a shopping cart. I'd wait until you had enough horse power to actually make use of one.

If you wanted to road race or autocross your car, you would have been more suited to spend the $15,000 on a used Integra Type-R, which will outhandle almost all other FWD cars on the market, past or present, and comes stock with an LSD, other suspension mods, and almost 100 more horsepower.

yes, but we didn't buy an teg.
so we want to make the most of ours

i often have one wheel slip/break free, it would be nice to get better traction.

What kind of tires are you running? Maybe stickier tires would be a cheaper solution if you haven't explored that avenue already.

got 215-35-18
pretty sticky, but if i go more i loose out too much in tread wear.
most of the time it happens around curves, the weight transfer and turning radius causes the inside to break free easier than i like.

(plus, i've got another hampster or two under the bonnet )

hey, I have a couple hamsters in MY.. oh wait you said "BONNET". Nm.

I break loose all the time. but, more importantly.. the echo tranny.. has a lower or higher final drive ratio?
