ok so my dad is always concerned about f-ing up my car, now a CAI isn't going to ruin my car, injen of course... now i read the article about hydro locking, but any other points i should know.... i need to really sell it to him

i would go with you dads ideal stay with k&n, for now put what money you have away for bigger plan mod
but their is a more chance of you ruining you car with it, + car warranty

 

well if you really want an intake . get one that can change into short ram or be cai . also run it with a bpv . so if your filter gets wet enough to start gulping water . your car will run through the bpv. you have to go through one hell of a puddle to get hydro lock . few and far between

u can get the trd cai it has the bypass on it.iv drivin thru puddles on accident and nothing happend so i was impressed

yhou basically need to drive in a foot deep puddle for a long time to hydrolock lol
