Yea, Alex did a great job this year (like always). It is one of my favorite shows of the season and I always look forward to the show. Thanks Alex and congrats to all of those who took home trophies.

I need to grovel to Brooks for a while in private. I'll get on that.
Just wanted to thank everyone for making the drive out to Ames and hopefully you all had fun. Apparently I was the only one at the show who didn't get sunburned probably because I had a troop of girls yelling at me to put on sunscreen every hour or so! I guess I'll make that service available to others in the future...
I had a blast and it was great to see everybody. I do this show so people can connect and reconnect with other people. I hope you all saw some old friends and made some new ones. I know I did. Actually, I think that's about all I did. I glanced at all the cars, but really didn't give them all the scrutiny they deserved. I suppose I prefer talking to you all anyway.

The only one missed in that lot is Rich Berena and his fantastic win in the first-ever A.S.S. Pie-Eating competition! Special mention to Kidder on that one too who finished a close second and actually kept it all down for the rest of the day! That was pretty amazing. Maybe we should try Pumpkin Pie next time...BWAHAHAHA!!!
Friday night's Night Rider award for best glow (as voted by the people and as busted by the hotel manager next door...) was earned by Clay Smith and his seizure-inducing xB. I really don't think anybody got a decent pic of Clay's car because of all the strobes, but I suppose that's the point, right?
Thank you to the independants who struck out alone to represent themselves so well and thank you to the clubs who rallied your troops!
We'll see you all again next time!
