I'm disapointed in the overall quality of the TYC lights every pic that I see and even at my local dealer N.Hollywood scion has a blue xA with the TYC's the plastic seems dull and not clear. not like the ones LJ Garcia has on his xA...any suggestions on where I can get the same lens he has?

My TYC lights are very clear. I haven't noticed any dullness.

ya know, just because Altezza lights are everywhere. . . it makes me not like the lights on the REAL altezza/IS300/IS200 lights for that reason.

I like the OEM tail lights, with nice redout vinyl for the turn signal. . . looks cleaner IMO

Are these the ones you are looking for? They look much better than the TYC's imo. They are kinda spendy though.

thats not overly overly expensive. but still. I also think that red out tails rock well red out and smoked. anyone smoke a set of xa tails? i bet they'd look pretty sweet

yeah. . . I want to paint them, and red them out properly, and do a layer of smoke. . . but I don't want to roll around for a week without tail lights on. . . :-(

is there a way to get rid of that red, side reflector?

hotbox05

but if ya did that they'd be cop attractions. no red reflector isn't a good thing. but u could just oven them , open them up , and then pull/break em out

You just might get away with it, since the taillights themselves are red. . . but engr is from singapore, so cops aren't exactly a concern, especially if it is over a measely reflector. . . too bad for us US guys. . . damn bacon. . . mmmmm bacon.

ok get this. . . there was a guy. . . from penn state. He was walking along a path, and another guy stopped him. His name was larry. Now, larry says to the guy, "yo, yo, yo name is rick." And the other guy says, "no." So rick says to jane, "let's dance on the purple clouds of mount fasouvious." "Sure," Jane says, "my green bushels of corn need walking anyway." I forget the point of the story really, but the moral is, that CD's are made for opening jars only. . . don't use them for anything else.

if you do remove those reflectors can you get little replacements to stick to the bumper?
i see a lot of manufactures puttin reflectors on bumpers instead of part of the tail light assys.

i think that would work out ok then. then smoke them joints!! i mean the tail lights

yeah. . . you can do whatever you like to your taillights, so long as they light up red for tail, red or orange for turn, and white for reverse. It's also important that they are bright enough as well. . .

So long as you got some kind of red reflector back there, reasonably positioned, you are good to go.

I just noticed something. The stock headlights and tailights almost share the same shape
