krazyscion 05-20-2008, 02:23 AM looking good man...
i would hate to scratch that cf lip
ilovemytC 05-20-2008, 02:25 AM I'm a chick, but yeah if I do scrape it I'm screwed
hawgs74 05-20-2008, 02:28 AM Thats pretty cool
08FMtc_DYK 05-20-2008, 02:37 AM very nice. i wish my car looked that clean..
a_german_named_hans 05-20-2008, 02:38 AM looks cool. I'd be worried about my plates catching something and getting ripped off with the CF. I mean your front bumper got scratched up, now its lower cuz of the lip plus that thing bolted to the bottom of the lip. I don't see this one ending too well.
tCeeder 05-20-2008, 02:50 AM i see your bumper is already scratched to hell underneath. better start driving like a grandma or else the same will happen to your lip =p take it from me lol
krazyscion 05-20-2008, 02:51 AM oops sorry
damn habit of mine not to look b4 i leap...
ilovemytC 05-20-2008, 02:59 AM I will try to be more careful. but most of those scrapes are from when my car was being used as my fishing mobile...yup I was going off road in the tC, lolz! But I have my little pick up truck back now...so no more dirt roads and potholes big enough to bathe in!
krazyscion 05-20-2008, 03:01 AM yea scratching is not fun to hear...
i want to swap my s-techs out for something a bit higher now...
anyway the car looks really nice low though...
I want that RS1 lip kit in CF too  i hope that one day i will have it
Ro_Ja 05-20-2008, 03:03 AM Good for shows...and running from the popo... :silly:
cessblood 05-20-2008, 03:48 AM Nice

CRUZtc8 05-20-2008, 04:04 AM very niice.
ilovemytC 05-20-2008, 04:29 AM ^thanx for the comments guys! I am also getting the debadged CF trunk trim and hoping to have the cash by summer to get the RS1 CF spoiler. The only thing left after that is hopefully RS will come out with the one-piece CF rear lip.
ihavenosn 05-20-2008, 05:01 AM Wow, looks amazing!
And that retractable plate is way cool hahaha awesome!
yellowxhoodie 05-20-2008, 03:35 PM so the liscence plate is moved manually right?
i was hoping it was gonna be some sort of battery operated one, lol.
she could probably do it
buy a solenoid
and make it so the button retracts it!
rippintC 05-20-2008, 06:37 PM nice mods!
tC2_thumper 05-20-2008, 06:39 PM wow, love it, and your tc is now one of my favorites, it looks really good. mad props *bro*
j.k about the bro thing but good work. i want an automatic one!
ilovemytC 05-21-2008, 12:04 AM I seen those auto plates, but they are about $170
TeeCizzle 05-21-2008, 12:18 AM How low does the bracket of the Retractable Plate hang?...
Looks like it will get Beat up just Once if u accidently come out of a steep driveway or something similar!...
ilovemytC 05-21-2008, 12:22 AM about 1/4 of an inch, it's steel so hopefully it will hold up
rippintC 05-21-2008, 06:49 AM where did you get your retractable plate from if you dont mind me askin?
ilovemytC 05-21-2008, 06:31 PM It's the Altec Show-N-Go....here's their website
http://www.altecproducts.com/

imsonofagun 05-24-2008, 05:59 PM I got the same license plate mount, but got it from Summit Racing. I was wondering how you actually mounted it to the bumper. I need to figure something out once my car gets back from the paint shop. I'm getting the Five Axis kit put on, along with some other minor work.

I've heard rumors that Altec is going to come out with a motorized Show 'n Go license plate bracket. Also heard that it'll be a little pricey.

I just used two screws in the front of the bracket, it's VERY sturdy. There is also the supplied metal hanger you can use which might help if you don't want to drill holes on the bottom of your lip, then you can use some 3M tape where it meets the lip.
imsonofagun 05-25-2008, 03:41 AM Thanks!
CSOCSO 05-25-2008, 07:41 AM nice.... but i cant get any front lip :( u just scraped the bumper yesterday.. and the last week.. and there is always a place which is too high for my hotchkis springs :(
now i got the home depot "rubber" lip kit.. that one is holding up but a cf lip kit would be broken to pieces already... btw how lower is that cf lip kit than the stock bumper?
how big is the gap there? 1-2 fingers?

yeah, 1 1/2 finger gap. I'm on Hotchkis too, and the CF lip is 4.5 inches from the ground. I did scrape yesterday pulling out of a Safeway driveway/parking lot, but thank God the license plate bracket was there, not a scratch on the lip! Horrible sound tho....The steel bracket is scraped on the right corner, but nothing is broken and the plate pulls out and goes underneath smoothly. I have been driving about 30 miles a day to and from work and not a problem. Pulled out of a couple other driveways at an angle, very slowly with about 1/2 an inch to spare and everything was fine.
ilovemytC 05-25-2008, 10:05 PM oh, the other thing is my bottom VRD grille will not clip in on the bottom, the lip is in the way. It will clip in on the top but it has not come loose/fallen out yet.
carbon_ninja 05-27-2008, 03:34 PM thats cool
