22/28 is "GREAT" gas mileage? WTF? I bought my 04 xB because I was sick of getting 22 city/28 hwy mpg. That's only great because advertising says it is.

Until mandated safety features and general bloat took over the automotive industry 15-20 years ago, any decent smallish car could manage 40mpg. Now, it's apparently punishment to drive anything that doesn't have power-everything and acceleration that was once limited to luxury cars and drag strips.

I want manual windows and locks, the option to order a car with just about nothing, and big steel spikes instead of airbags. No one would drive like a jerk if they knew they could get impaled for it.

I love ranting and raving.

 

That is one "legendary" vehicle. Guess I'm stuck with my "old toaster looking model".
