Default What do you think its worth?

Due to personal issues I have to sell my 08 Tc. It has 12k miles on it, is a 5 speed and color is blue ribbon. TRD upgrades include supercharger, quick throw, springs, front strut bar, and muffler. Supercharger upgrades are NST 9.5lb pulley, gates belt, and TurboXS BPV. Interior has mats, factory XM radio, and Autometer boost gauge. Exterior include rear lip spoiler, 5% tint, 18 inch SP7 rims, Dunlop Direzza 235/40 tires, hotchkis front and rear sway bars, WeaponR header and S pipe, front upper and lower grills painted to match with fog lights with hyper yellow bulbs, 12k HID conversion, shaved rear emblum, led tail lights, factory front and rear body lip spoilers. I'm just looking for some opinions. It sucks because I finally got it running great. I'm going to try to add pics but I never have before. Thanks.

Anybody who knows about the S/C pulley is not going to buy your car, sorry. As said, part out the S/C, and it will sell much easier.

wow, I just noticed your rims are the same one's I've got but mine are 16". yea, I would love to have bigger rims but the roads stink up here and these give a better ride. My car now looks like a police cruizer with the additional rubber between the rim and the road. lol BUT, I like it. heh heh

I really like the color....and how clean and streamlined it looks. Unfortunately, 20K is probably the most anyone would give for a "used" Scion tC.

Modifications don't add much value to the resale value.

My...and others, suggestion:

Pull the modifications.....and sell them in the open market. It won't effect the price of your car, and you'll get a premium for them.

SAD would be dropping the whole shabang for a quick sale.

Patience....and it'll pay off!

That's one sick whip! I agree that you should probably part it out, then sell a normally-aspirated tC. It would seem that right now, people won't want to pay extra for premium unleaded with the S/C unless they had hella disposable cash, and if they did, they'd probably buy something else anyway. People are going to try and negotiate on the price and dangle money in front of you that, if you are desperate enough to get rid of the car, you maight take a low-ball offer and regret it later. 20k is a good get-rid-of-it -quickly price, but there goes making up for the amount you spent in mods. I do like it, and I'm sure it hurts to have to sell it, but it's only a car. Good luck!

One good thing about the supercharger, is even though I have to run premium fuel I still average about 28MPG and have WAY more power.

...and you've modified it to where neither it or your car have a warranty. Nobody is going to buy it like that unless you hide it from them, and then when they are denied warranty work down the line you're going to be hearing from them, trust me.

The vehicle warranty is fine and fully intact. It is illegal to void a factory warranty due to modifications. Only if the modification directly caused the failure (and the burden of proof is on the manufacturer) can they void the warranty. I have worked at a dealership for 12 years, trust me.

that doesn't make much sense.

How can Toyota be held liable and with the added burden of proof on something that was done totally out of their control?

Unless the Toyota dealer using their own tools made the modification themselves from their inventory of parts they supply and from approved sourses from their list etc . . . would that hold any water.
