So, i thought i would jump on the bandwagon and do the same. Just posted my car on craigslist. Went and talked to Kelly at Gresham Scion about getting the RS 1 xD and decided to get one, now its time to sell the egg. I know, this means starting over on the mods, and I've already got some ideas on what I'm going to do, but first things first, need to get rid of the old to make room for the new. Heres the link...

I know the starting over thing. I traded my 1 st gen for 2nd gen xB and the mods are comming so slow. I know I'll get there but, sometimes I stop and think "what the heck was I thinking"...LOL. The RS 1 xD will look sweet though with a few mods. I always liked the Hot Lava.. Good Luck

Good luck on the sale, we need to see more xD's around, but it will be sad not seeing as many xA's around :)
I will be putting out tC up for sale soon after I fix a few things.

I'm shocked, I tell you, shocked!
Sad to see the xA go, but happy to see a new xD in the future.
The xD is a real rarity (just like the xA) and in may ways seems SO much like a "grown up" xA.
You probably made a good choice there, Robbie!
Good luck on the sale. When I sold my mum's xA via Craig's List, we didn't get all that many bites, but one of 'em bought it at the asked for price with no problems, and all it takes is one... (It did move slower than I expected - a few weeks - but when it was all over the little Salsa xA found a new home with someone who really wanted an xA.)
See you the eighth!

The xd has so much more noticable torque and power than the xa. A buddy of mine locally just sold his xa as well for an xD after a test drive. I personally like the looks of the xa better but the power or lack there of & a few other items sold me 100% on the xd. Still gets GREAT gas milage. I am personally averaging 38mpg mostley freeway above 75mph.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. After driving the D, I was sold. If my car doesn't get sold before the RS's hit the port, then it will get traded in, just thought I would try to sell it outright myself. This is sudden, had no plans to get rid of the car until I saw the RS in Vegas, brought home a flyer and showed Shirley the pics I had taken of it and she said, "well, I guess you're getting that, time to sell yours", I love my wife.

Robnie, being a copy cat huh?
Well that's good news that you aren't selling the scion for some other car. I drove the Xd once and i liked it.. I wouldn't mind having that as a commuter car, but i don't make the big money yet.........
GL on the sale and hope you get the new car
TU - love the comment ha ha

Oh, believe me, if it weren't for the RS1 being in Hot Lava, I would be keeping my car, I like it too much, actually hate to part with it, but I think its a step up.

(Sorry, I come from the day when everyone learned to drive a stick. The thought then was if you could drive a stick you could drive almost anything, including an automatic, but if all you knew was an automatic, you were stuck. My driver's training car at the driving school was a 1960 Rambler American 4-door, with three-on-the-tree.)
Seriously, I think kids should learn to drive a stick, even if their cars are going to be automatics. Someday they may need to drive someone else's car home from a party or in an emergency, and if it's a stick, they need to know how.

Or someday they may get a job for 5 star valet, lol. I learned to drive a stick in a '52 Chevy sedan, what a tank, lol.
Tomas

Yeah, the '51-'54 Chevys were kinda brutal (my experiences were with the '51 turtleback). :)
http://tijil.org/51chev.jpg
When I learned in the Rambler, that was a fairly new car, but it was a miserable machine. I much preferred my '55 Chevy.

I learned on a '75 Opel Manta that didn't have a gas pedal, just a metal peg sticking out of the floor. BEAUTIFUL car!
Good luck with the sale Robbie. This would be an awesome car for just about anybody...looking out the window at the Chevron across the street, and regular is $4.13 a gallon! Wish I could rid my household of an 08 Charger...then I would buy it!
I will direct any xA people I get to your Craigslist ad!

I busted out the claybar and wax today. When I got done I realized that I am never selling my car. I love it way too much and I would be disappointed with anything else.
