Default SUV gas = gas, insurance, possibly payments ?

ok , so over in NY, gas prices have hit about $4.20 a gallon. It cost me about roughly anywhere from $30-40 to fill the box up with these numbers. Some friends and people I know with SUVs (H2) have been telling me stories they pay almost $130 dollars weekly to gas and ride their trucks for their weekly routines. Now this being obvious, with the money saved with the xb, isnt it possible that the gas alone could pay our average monthly gas, insurance, and if anything a small portion of the monthly payment for the box alone ?

at that price, with my dodge(that I still own) I'd be paying my insurance, car note, and gas bills just with 3 weeks worth of gas, hell 1 tank of gas would cover the gas, 2 tanks(5 days worth of trips to work) would cover insurance and 3 car payment

yea pretty much. my payment is $241/month. my gas is about $100/month give or take. my insurance is $77/month.

a full size SUV paying $130/week just in gas alone sounds a little high so lets just say $100/week although $130 does not seem too unlikely. lets just give them the benefit of the doubt.

full size SUV gas = $428/30 days
box total cost = $418/30 days

this is why you can kind of laugh to yourself whenever you're on the road. it's funny knowing someone insisting on ego stroking is paying the same amount in gas as you are in pretty much total car cost probably including monthly maintenance as well.

Biancoxb, where in NY are you?? yeah bro i cry everytime i fill up the box almost 50 from empty. Im starting to hate the fact that i moved back to NY. i was in PA all weekend and it cost me only 35 to fill it at 3.85 a gallon. i think if it goes any higher im just gonna get another motorcycle and start riding everywhere again.

I hope gas goes up to 6 dollars a gallon this summer. Imagine all the SUV and pickup drivers _____ing and moaning at the gas pumps! Can't wait.
