David616 01-05-2011, 10:23 PM Uyles that ____ is fire! Simple. Lip looks good. Can't wait to see it when you get the rest of the kit. Jasper Ash 01-05-2011, 10:43 PM I personally always think it looks better with front OEM lip only. Just the way it is now. <3 This thread makes me hate my car.... Uyles 01-05-2011, 11:04 PM thanks for the compliments, gentlemen. "Keep It Simple, Stupid" is my motto when it comes to my car. 09SocalTC 01-06-2011, 12:25 AM Dig it 09SocalTC 01-06-2011, 01:54 AM Maxed out my rear camber, and fixed my toe in issue. Here are the results. Front 17x10 et20 Rear 17x10 et17 (might go with a bigger spacer) http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5241/5329122054_1569fc2313_b.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5207/5329111298_1d35769243_b.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5086/5328482235_17cbd3ac8e_b.jpg FF!!!Monster 01-06-2011, 01:56 AM dope yellowxhoodie 01-06-2011, 02:30 AM hell yeah man, i love it. i plan on finishing it off with the 5A rear and the OEM skirts. good choice, 5A wasnt out when i first got my lip kit. I wanted to run the same setup but knew i was gonna sell the car so i didnt bother. jeremydoc 01-06-2011, 02:31 AM really dig that third pic. whered u get ur third brake light redout? i was asking uyles about his. i think ima do that to mine 2 yellowxhoodie 01-06-2011, 02:38 AM i think BlueBatMobile sells them (vinyl), and VHT sells a red tint spray too i believe. DPT852 01-06-2011, 02:48 AM 15mm spacers for the rear are on the way, and my car is dirty from the 400 mile drive back to school. here's an update with the lip on, though: http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5125/5327927841_4eb633fc08_z.jpg Pleaseeeeee do not put skirts or rear lip on that thing. It's so perfect. Uyles 01-06-2011, 03:55 AM do you guys think new coilovers would be the way to go and say screw the rest of the kit? hmmm... jeremydoc 01-06-2011, 04:02 AM do you guys think new coilovers would be the way to go and say screw the rest of the kit? hmmm... what coilovers are you looking into? BlckdOutTC 01-06-2011, 04:25 AM wait what springs are you on? 09SocalTC 01-06-2011, 04:29 AM hes on racelands I think you should first switch to 215/35's you will get a lot more low. davedavetC 01-06-2011, 04:34 AM sam what size tires are you runnin? if you want 215.35's and have 225.40s i'll trade with you! DPT852 01-06-2011, 04:54 AM do you guys think new coilovers would be the way to go and say screw the rest of the kit? hmmm... I say this all day everyday. Uyles 01-06-2011, 05:12 AM sam what size tires are you runnin? if you want 215.35's and have 225.40s i'll trade with you! Dave, im on 215/40/18s. if no one wants a trade i'll just wait it out until these tires wear out. yeah Socal is right im on racelands but i haven't removed a perch like him yet. i can probably do that and see as well. i'm looking into Stance or B&G. pretty much whichever doesn't take like 9 months of waiting, hahah. 09SocalTC 01-06-2011, 05:16 AM With 1 perch and 35's you will be pretty low, enough to tide you over while you wait for better coils. I'm saving for stances right now...or if used b&g's come up, I'll buy um. I've heard they have a redic wait time. Uyles 01-06-2011, 05:31 AM yeah man that's what i heard. someone said they waited like 6 months or something, right? im so lazy on taking out the perch. maybe i'll do it this week though. 09SocalTC 01-06-2011, 06:16 AM ya something like that its kinda worth it, i was lazy and took 1 perch out then decided to take the other one out a month later haha. Tom11x 01-06-2011, 08:18 AM need help guys. running rear 18x9 et13 225/40 -3.6camber right now the metal piece of the rear bumper is sitting on top of tire. i pull the rear bumper tab out but the metal is the problem. i hammer but it goes no wear. anyway to pull the fender out a bit so it stops rubbing. really dont want to raise the car lol 253CSM 01-06-2011, 08:37 AM 15mm spacers for the rear are on the way, and my car is dirty from the 400 mile drive back to school. here's an update with the lip on, though: http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5125/5327927841_4eb633fc08_z.jpg definetly hotter now with the oem front lip Uyles, man basically feel like i'm staring right at my car how it will look someday haha :), not trying to copy your style or nothing but every mod you've done so far was what i had already invisioned one day for my car, i guess great minds think alike :), but i guess i'll have to come up with a different setup maybe now lol, just trying to do my stuff right the first time around so its taking me a little longer than expected to get there just ordered a set of b&g's myself, so funds are a little low right now, but anyways the only thing that i would suggest is that you go with just the oem rear lip and keep the oem factory sides, same as flipmoob, jaewrek, or blktc, i think its the hottest look for the TC's and that's what lip kit i plan to run myself...but then again the five axis rear is nice also, but your car is really clean looking nice work..but if you're really set on having the OEM lipkit sideskirts in a few months i will probably pick up an OEM lipkit in CSM and have the sides for sale unless i change my mind and put them on but i doubt it since i like this look better, also have a OEM trunk lip spoiler for sale right now in classified section if you're interested..:) DTRUONG_112 01-06-2011, 05:57 PM how much "moar low" was aquired with the perch removal? I just cant justify the extra work yet on the little perch...maybe im just being lazy LOL. FlintMica2005 01-06-2011, 06:01 PM a perch is about what half an inch? ktothesass 01-06-2011, 06:07 PM need help guys. running rear 18x9 et13 225/40 -3.6camber right now the metal piece of the rear bumper is sitting on top of tire. i pull the rear bumper tab out but the metal is the problem. i hammer but it goes no wear. anyway to pull the fender out a bit so it stops rubbing. really dont want to raise the car lol go to home depot, buy angle grinder, BOOM. problem solved davedavetC 01-06-2011, 07:09 PM Or trade tires with ne  Uyles 01-06-2011, 09:21 PM a little something came to my dorm today. props to Fatlace for the 1 day shipping, damn. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5082/5331511416_f0758e6c26_z.jpg DPT852 01-06-2011, 10:16 PM a little something came to my dorm today. props to Fatlace for the 1 day shipping, damn. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5082/5331511416_f0758e6c26_z.jpg I've never understood how bolt on spacers that are thin like that work. Are you gonna have to shorten the stock studs to make it bolt on properly? diskfunktional 01-06-2011, 10:40 PM Baller wheel spacers. Love to see these installed BlkTC 01-06-2011, 11:03 PM I've never understood how bolt on spacers that are thin like that work. Are you gonna have to shorten the stock studs to make it bolt on properly? sometimes you have to shorten the stock studs if the back of the wheels doesn't allow any space for the stock stud to go thru. also, i think it was at least 8threads on the stock studs to be considered "safe" but then again... i could be wrong. Uyles 01-07-2011, 01:19 AM cellphone pic. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5170/5331359453_50fb03feef_z.jpg sup. 09SocalTC 01-07-2011, 01:32 AM Heyy http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5127/5331400653_78ac2b4365_b.jpg Uyles 01-07-2011, 01:33 AM shoot when i'm back down in socal? 09SocalTC 01-07-2011, 01:37 AM yeah! when you coming back down? Uyles 01-07-2011, 01:39 AM ____ if i know. probably early february. Jon 01-07-2011, 01:39 AM You guys make it hard to decide between 17s or 18s. :ponder: 09SocalTC 01-07-2011, 01:41 AM ____ if i know. probably early february. sikk I should have a new lip by then, and fix some other exterior stuff. You guys make it hard to decide between 17s or 18s. :ponder: i got 17's because the tires are cheaper haha scion_jon 01-07-2011, 01:42 AM if i coulda got 17's i would have. Jon 01-07-2011, 01:45 AM i got 17's because the tires are cheaper haha That's a plus. You can go lower too. I have to order something soon because the tires on my stocks are shot. I'm tired of floating down the highway when it rains lol. Uyles 01-07-2011, 01:50 AM my next set of wheels will be 17's for sure. 09SocalTC 01-07-2011, 01:51 AM yeah i did get lower my 18's were 24inches tall with tires, and my 17s are 23.5 inches tall. Jon 01-07-2011, 01:54 AM my next set of wheels will be 17's for sure. If my car sat like yours when I had my DPTs I probably would have kept them. yeah i did get lower my 18's were 24inches tall with tires, and my 17s are 23.5 inches tall. That was my main issue with 18s. Since I didn't have coils, I wasn't feeling the added ground clearance. I didn't have wheel gap but the car sat up higher. 09SocalTC 01-07-2011, 02:07 AM get some Rokkor coils, its better than no drop. domincnTC 01-07-2011, 02:30 AM a little something came to my dorm today. props to Fatlace for the 1 day shipping, damn. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5082/5331511416_f0758e6c26_z.jpg what is the size for the hubcentric ring? yellowxhoodie 01-07-2011, 02:41 AM tc's bore size is 54.1 Uyles 01-07-2011, 02:45 AM yellow's on that ish. domincnTC 01-07-2011, 02:55 AM tiggghhhtt!!! thanks yellow! DPT852 01-07-2011, 04:23 AM Kinda off topic, and probably wishful thinking, but any of you guys going to SoWo this year? I'll be making the trip down from the Northeast with a bunch of StanceWorks guys... I'll be making the trip down from the Northeast with a bunch of StanceWorks guys... I'll probably go since it's only a little over an hour away from me. cbridges17 01-08-2011, 06:21 PM just went through this whole thread lol, i love it. im def going to max out my coils this summer and attempt to set up an aggressive stance with the rims i have now, hopefully will have some monies for wider rims in the future =] dtp your car looks sick with those rims. im assuming you have rolled fenders? i might have to hit you up this summer for some help doing that since your close. Firefightin_tC 01-08-2011, 07:33 PM I'll probably go since it's only a little over an hour away from me. Jon- SoWo? DPT852 01-08-2011, 09:40 PM dtp your car looks sick with those rims. im assuming you have rolled fenders? i might have to hit you up this summer for some help doing that since your close. Yeah man, hit me up. Fronts and rears are shaved, not rolled. And of course, no fender liners up front. Spoony 01-08-2011, 09:53 PM Still needs a bit more low all around. http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/quikstrumental/IMG_4779.jpg?t=1294526812 Nowhere near as low as DPT, though. :icon_biggrin: Jon 01-08-2011, 10:20 PM Jon- SoWo? Southern Worthersee up in Helen. It's a big VW show at the end of May. We were supposed to go last year remember? cbridges17 01-08-2011, 10:23 PM Yeah man, hit me up. Fronts and rears are shaved, not rolled. And of course, no fender liners up front. word. im guessing you haven't had any problems without fender liners? lol makes me nervous because i saw what happened with socals cai haha, but i should be alright with my sri i guess. CleanFMtC 01-08-2011, 10:26 PM the biggest problem i've had w/out fender liners is little rocks getting stuck in between the headlight and fender. soooo annoying. DPT852 01-08-2011, 10:38 PM the biggest problem i've had w/out fender liners is little rocks getting stuck in between the headlight and fender. soooo annoying. Air Compressor FTMFW just blow em' right outta there... cbridges17 01-08-2011, 10:56 PM haha true. dpt what happened to your roof rack? did you have it on when you came to my place i didnt notice it? mmmpshh 01-08-2011, 11:26 PM very clean spoony domoboiz 01-10-2011, 03:45 AM http://i764.photobucket.com/albums/xx285/domoboi/DSC_0411.jpg http://i764.photobucket.com/albums/xx285/domoboi/DSC_0406.jpg http://i764.photobucket.com/albums/xx285/domoboi/DSC_0409.jpg Skeeeett 01-10-2011, 03:49 AM niceee it looks like it could use a bit more of a drop but really clean besides the point scion_jon 01-10-2011, 05:19 AM cough* haha http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5045/5341584787_e570b0650d_z.jpg Tom11x 01-10-2011, 05:30 AM cough photoshop ftw! lol or not ahha Jasper Ash 01-10-2011, 06:15 AM Daaaaamn!!!!1 Mad camber, yo! wild1413 01-10-2011, 08:33 PM Heyy http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5127/5331400653_78ac2b4365_b.jpg Car look good man. That spacer in the rear was definitely needed. jeremydoc 01-10-2011, 09:28 PM uyles, that looooks fresh man. once i get socal's rotas, we should do a shoot. Uyles 01-10-2011, 10:23 PM me you and socal should do one when i get back to socal, hahaha. and yeah, the spacers made a huge difference forsure. i just need to go slightly lower and i'll be happy. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5082/5341882308_0da20b663d_b.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5125/5341812146_366e66dfe9_b.jpg jeremydoc 01-10-2011, 10:42 PM me you and socal should do one when i get back to socal, hahaha. and yeah, the spacers made a huge difference forsure. i just need to go slightly lower and i'll be happy. dope. im down. im not running camber right now, but once those rotas are in, ill be set. ive already installed my spc camber arms in the rear. and if u wanna go lower, u should remove some perch rings. u should be good with that. btw, whats the specs on ur grids? 18x9.5 +35? Uyles 01-10-2011, 10:49 PM yeah i want to remove the front 2 perches but i'm lazy as fuuu. and damn, camber arms? the stock camber goes to -4 degrees, aren't Socal's wheels the same specs as mine or fairly similar? mine are 18x9.5 F: et38, R: et23 (after 15mm spacers). but a shoot with all three of us would be super dope though. jeremydoc 01-10-2011, 10:52 PM i thought stock rears only did up to 3? hmmm. well, the spc arms add like another 2 degrees i think. and his rotas are 18x9.5 +35 all around. once i get those, i might pick up either 15 or 20 mm for the rears. havnt decided yet. davedavetC 01-10-2011, 11:38 PM Those SPC camber arms ADD 2 degrees of camber not help take away. If you're trying to maximize neg camber you don't want those you wanna leave stock or go with hotchkis. jeremydoc 01-10-2011, 11:42 PM hmmm, well i just googled it. says it adds and subtracts 1.25. depending how much stock does, it should do both ways. http://www.racinglab.com/spc-camber-kit-scion-002.html davedavetC 01-10-2011, 11:50 PM You gotta read the description bro. SPC Rear Arm: This fixed change arm is ideal for correcting excessive negative camber issues seen in lowered Scion tC's. The Scion tC comes from the factory with a cam bolt that provides ±1.25 degree. This factory change is not enough change for lowered applications. By increasing the length of the rear upper control arm SPC Performance adds 2 degree positive camber to the rear suspension that can then be dialed in with the OEM cam bolt. 67485 (Adjustment range: -1.25 degree to +1.25 degree.) jeremydoc 01-10-2011, 11:51 PM oh wells. i got em for super cheap anyways. hahaha davedavetC 01-10-2011, 11:56 PM Mind as well sell them. They counter what you're trying to do. 09SocalTC 01-11-2011, 12:06 AM I'm down to shoot everyones car, once you get back, and they Jermey gets the rotas on. I'm taking a lighting class this semester...so I should be able to take some dope shots :D 09SocalTC 01-11-2011, 12:08 AM i thought stock rears only did up to 3? hmmm. well, the spc arms add like another 2 degrees i think. I think the rears do -4 because I'm running -2 on the fronts with those bolts maxed out, and the rears look almost doubled with -4 camber...not a very accurate measurement, but an educated guess haha. jeremydoc 01-11-2011, 12:10 AM Mind as well sell them. They counter what you're trying to do. yeah, we'll see. might just do that then. know anyone who wants to buy them? haha I'm down to shoot everyones car, once you get back, and they Jermey gets the rotas on. I'm taking a lighting class this semester...so I should be able to take some dope shots :D soooo down. bikerdude1550 01-11-2011, 12:35 AM really wish my fronts would go lower...and bigger spacers in the rear/front http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4001/4646386930_91bdd63937_b.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4046/4646387576_6acfb61cdb.jpg 09socaltC I like your rims I know there rota torque but what color and width are they ? 09SocalTC 01-11-2011, 12:38 AM Damn thats my first setup lol...They were 18x9.5 et35 with 5mm spacers front/8mm rear. The color was some gunmetal color. Skittle 01-11-2011, 03:37 AM WheelDude has a new selection of Rotas varying in a bunch offsets and colors now. I want to get everybodys opinion on the Rota Grid 18x10 et15 they have. Will it be able to be a Daily Driver with that wide of a wheel? I want to try them out and stretch a 215/40/18 on them and get dropped on Coilovers that'll sit right on the top of the tire. Opinions!!! dropzone 01-11-2011, 04:07 AM ^When did they start offering +15 in 5x100 for Grids? The most aggressive I know they offered was 18x10 +30 for 5x100. Skittle 01-11-2011, 04:17 AM I believe it was for the 5x100....lemme look again BRB Skittle 01-11-2011, 04:24 AM ok i retract my previous statement.......I saw it in et15, but for the 5x114.3 bolt pattern.....oh well, i guess imma get 18x9.5 Grids in flat black and strech a 215/40/18 tire in all four corners....cant wait till tax return gets here Spoony 01-11-2011, 04:33 AM It's looking like I might get new wheels, so might as well whore out these old pics. http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/quikstrumental/5165803139_37d3c96127_o.jpg?t=1294723881 dropzone 01-11-2011, 04:33 AM ^I'm still trying to figure out how mine will be spent, I know it won't be much. If it's wheels then I'll have to wait to have $$$ for tires lol. cbridges17 01-11-2011, 04:38 AM i love your car spoony Tom11x 01-11-2011, 04:41 AM thanks guys for the help. im almost done fixing it. the rear still rub just a bit but now i cant even put a finger between the fender and tire lol its super close DPT852 01-11-2011, 04:53 AM Myself, and my best friends car. They'll be ballin' though. It's been done, but maybe not overdone. No - I jumped on the Subi group buy for the 18x9.5 SBC RPF1's. It's kind of meh that a few of us will have them now, and I kinda feel bad for cramping Chicotunner's style... but these are legit wheels either way and I've wanted them like vagi*a since the day yellowxhoodie put his up for sale. I'm going with 215. If you're going to be low go with 205. CleanFMtC 01-18-2011, 06:00 AM Sorry, I didn't even see this until the guy above me quoted it. I'm tucking some tire on stock wheels already and was planning on going even lower once the wheels came in. Roller_Toaster 01-18-2011, 01:11 PM Just a quick question all.....HOW do you drive your cars that low?!? Here in KY, we have speedbumps 4 feet long and about 6-7" tall! Also, how do you change your oil/service your brakes(with as low as some of your cars are, I wouldn't even be able to fit my speedjack under there)? The cars all look stunning guys. :D Also, Im getting some xxr 522's...17 or 18? (just curious on your thoughts) Jon 01-18-2011, 02:17 PM People keep tagging old pics of my car on FB. Thanks! car looks real good! makes me think if i should get a bra for the tits now...what do u guys think? Thanks it serves its purpose. The only reason I don't have the whole thing is I bought the hood piece by itself. Otherwise I would have the whole mask on with the amount of driving I do. It doesn't matter now because it won't fit with the OEM lip anyway. NBM08tc 01-18-2011, 05:45 PM http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5163/5366059271_874302216c_z.jpg First time editing with lightroom.
