Spoony 06-06-2011, 03:22 AM You don't count. You're MIA! Jon 06-06-2011, 03:25 AM I </3 your real wheels. Oh wait... Here's my contribution of fake wheels. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5108/5656465881_a2d6f9b189_z.jpg Spoony 06-06-2011, 03:32 AM My wheels hit LBC port on the 28th of this month. http://l.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/111.gif dropzone 06-06-2011, 03:41 AM ^Mine are TBD. :D jaewrek 06-06-2011, 03:44 AM yey, then i can rock my stocks and sell my wheels... jk... Spoony 06-06-2011, 03:45 AM Or, if you hook me up with one of your hot aunties, these wheels could be yours. Just saying. asian9inch 06-06-2011, 03:47 AM Anyone else for real wheels? I know there will be more people with fake wheels than real wheels. yellowxhoodie 06-06-2011, 03:56 AM With an email like "rotasucks@yahoo.com" , all your posts just bashing people who rock replica wheels, and not contributing anything worthy to the forum you should be banned for trolling. No one knows you and no one cares what you think about their wheels. mmmpshh 06-06-2011, 04:07 AM ... what is the deal Skittle 06-06-2011, 04:12 AM Thank you for you support. Spoony 06-06-2011, 04:36 AM -1 dropzone 06-06-2011, 04:38 AM ^LMAO Hayseed 06-06-2011, 04:42 AM I'm all for baller wheels but I lost this guy when he acts like fake wheels are a plague sent upon humanity. Dude, get over it. People will rock whatever the hell they want. This guy comes out as mister KGB of Fake Wheels. Realize that 1. People will have their own *PERSONAL* opinions and 2. There are a million better things to really argue for. Hell go into politics or something but seriously, just leave this alone. Its not the end of the ____ing world to rock rotas. Who cares. Just makes your baller wheels look that much baller. johnnyb305mia 06-06-2011, 04:50 AM Jus read all the crap from this asian"knowitall" hey ummm fyi guess what my "fake" wheels havnt ____ed up at all im daily driven on boost too second good thing i actually am stanced n break necks everywhere i go third off my "fake" wheels have gotten me (n my 2 friends who so rock fake wheels) a shoot for s3 mag (at the end of this month) sooo all in all i support real wheels but at the same time my "fake" wheels are good enough for me n get the job done so go n gtfo with all ur ____ n get banned idgaf u gone is a much better forum.. This should be a place to express our cars mods, not "discrimination" using words for one another. On to some more pics!!! trdscion 06-06-2011, 05:17 AM http://img534.imageshack.us/img534/2047/129079751944785357.jpgYou are correct sir, tool. Just read through the vomit coming from this dude, sad: "My intentions were not to force people not to buy replica wheel, but to spread awareness about this issue." Really man? Really? "Spread awareness about this issue." What are you curing cancer, trying to bring an end to bullying no, you're a hater. Mr. Murray, you are correct. trdscion 06-06-2011, 05:21 AM aaaaah, that's better http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4041/4580700696_055942bfb2_b.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4118/4915400128_da9c6d7d1a_b.jpg kevin091988 06-06-2011, 05:29 AM In my opinion... Wheel are wheels. They are all round. What matters is how you rock them. I could care less about how much a wheel costs, I could care less about the name of a wheel. People need to get over themselves. I have drag wheels. Thats what I can afford. If any of you that are up on your pedastools want to donate the money for me some expensive wheels, go ahead. Ill probably take that money and buy something else with it. ktothesass 06-06-2011, 06:43 AM i agree with cory Jasper Ash 06-06-2011, 07:22 AM Just in case anyone wants to get back into pics... http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2071/5803091217_49aaa566a7_z.jpg superwhitecoke 06-06-2011, 10:41 AM dayuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum jasper TCpete 06-06-2011, 01:13 PM Mods: please change the title to "Legit aggressive wheels stance pics" These replica wheels are an infestation, that needs to be deceased and terminated by all means. "I dont have money to buy some nice legit wheel" is what they all say. If cant afford them, dont buy it. Dont give business to those that dont deserve it. Let me ask something, Do you want to use your hard earned money on crap? You guys have failed to answer my simple question. Let me re-ask, Do you want to use your hard earned money on crap? Wow... you dare compare your scion tc with a lexus? full of arrogance. You get what you pay for my friend. I know what i said may have upset many of you, but what i said are valid points. My intentions were not to force people not to buy replica wheel, but to spread awareness about this issue. If you think about it, it is actually a disease in which no none of us can control. By spreading this knowledge we can cure it and rid the replica out. This is not nonsense. I do hope that people will spread this knowledge to their friends and family. Some people on this forum may say " nice wheels," but in the back of their mind "oh its just some replica wheel." For me, I want wheels that i can actually be proud of. I have no idea why you brought up the lexus vs your scion tc. Replica will never be dope. I guarantee you. Honestly, the whole "can't afford real wheels" thing is stupid. If you don't know how to save money, then maybe you should learn Dont support replica wheels. Its all im asking. You will be doing yourself a favor. I want to know why everyone is for replica wheels? I thought i would at least get some supporters. Looking at the wheeldude website, rota grids are 1 thousand. If you save like 200-300 more you can get yourself quality wheels like enkei; brand new! You saved up 9/10ths already, is it too hard to save up the other 1/10th? There are a variety of wheels out there for the taking and at a reasonable price. You saved up most for it, why not just continue to save to get them? For those of you that buy wheels for looks/attention, do you think grids get more attention or volk te37? or torques vs work emotion cr kai? Please dont support replica wheel. Ban? i have done nothing wrong. I only stated what is true. But all i see is people ignoring the problem and are against what i believe. Is there anyone out there for real wheels? ... hi tcpete long time no see mayne.... lulz honda-tech.com is just a click away and you can continue your real wheel trolling spree there... IJS btw... what wheels do you own? since your so oh so mad tizyte real wheel bouse ballin? boricua3230 06-06-2011, 02:16 PM I would LOVE some rpf1's!!! I don't have baller wheels but all that matters is that I DO have some wheels.http://i974.photobucket.com/albums/ae228/black07tc/IMG_0607.jpg Jon 06-06-2011, 02:18 PM ^But they're not aggressive tho. What happened? jeremydoc 06-08-2011, 09:33 PM looks like you drove off a curb while going reverse. hahaha. and how is your midpipe not bent if that happened to your frame? CleanFMtC 06-08-2011, 09:40 PM HAHAHHA! i honestly do not know how that happened but its been like that for a while, the car was t-boned but i doubt that coulda caused it. i was just looking under the car today and decided to see if its happened to anyone else. dropzone 06-08-2011, 10:13 PM Jeremy, the midpipe could have been replaced also, never know. CleanFMtC 06-08-2011, 11:18 PM none of my exhaust has been replaced, we bought the car brand new in 05. dropzone 06-08-2011, 11:40 PM ^Has anyone else driven the car? CleanFMtC 06-08-2011, 11:46 PM my brother had it til about a year and a half ago, it was slammed on function and forms so it makes sense, he was prob the one that did something stupid in it. not really worried about it, it just looks bad. mrhat 06-09-2011, 01:27 AM i'm searching around on this thread but my slow internet is beating me to death. I have rota torques which are +48. With 25mm spacers would I for sure need to roll my fenders? ISO was up to 2000 I think. Shutter was about 1/50 and f- stop was at about 1.8. I'm guessing on these specs because I was shooting aperture priority but it was about that for sure. deez 06-10-2011, 12:15 AM ^ good call AGREEEED:icon_biggrin: Skittle 06-10-2011, 03:31 AM so how do i get rid of that ( ! ) symbol on the dash? car is an 05 and doesnt have TPMS but its throwing bc of wheel size im guessing....just 2.5 inches wider then factory TRD wheels....what gives? lucytheshedevil 06-10-2011, 03:52 AM its throwing it cuz you dont have the tpms installed. can't get rid unless you get tpms put in gmc_113 06-10-2011, 03:53 AM its on bc your dont have the tpms sensors on the wheels Jon 06-10-2011, 03:56 AM ^He doesn't have TPMS sensors. That wasn't introduced until 2008. so how do i get rid of that ( ! ) symbol on the dash? car is an 05 and doesnt have TPMS but its throwing bc of wheel size im guessing....just 2.5 inches wider then factory TRD wheels....what gives? You have to recalibrate the sensor. It uses rotational mass I believe to determine if one of your tires is low on pressure. And since you changed the wheels, of course it's gonna come on. There's instructions on resetting it in the owner's manual. Spoony 06-10-2011, 04:24 AM '07, actually. I just learn to live with it. I heard it can be disabled completely, though. dropzone 06-10-2011, 04:43 AM ^He doesn't have TPMS sensors. That wasn't introduced until 2008. Disagree on the year introduced, 2007 was the first year of TPMS on the tC, I had a Spec package and was even on the 16" steelies. 6/10 - EDIT: TPMS sensors on the wheels started with the '07. Jon 06-10-2011, 05:25 AM My mistake. Either way, he doesn't have them. lucytheshedevil 06-10-2011, 12:45 PM you can turn off the light with the button in the glove box but it will prob come back on. Jon 06-10-2011, 02:52 PM If you reset it properly it won't come back on. It will calibrate to the new wheel/tire set up. Skittle 06-10-2011, 05:21 PM If you reset it properly it won't come back on. It will calibrate to the new wheel/tire set up. thanks Jon for your insight. Those other people just weren't reading my previous post correctly I guess lol. The car didn't come with a Owner's manual though, is there a site, or page you can refer me to in order to completely disable it properly? Jon 06-10-2011, 05:31 PM I didn't feel like going outside to get my manual, but I found these steps online. The tire pressure monitor detects any changes in the tire inflation pressure. Therefore, it must initialize and store it in its memory if the tires or wheels have been replaced or the tires have been rotated. you can re-initialize the system by following these steps: 1) Check and make sure that your tires are inflated to the correct pressure. 2) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. If the low tire pressure warning light comes on, push and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch (in the glove box) until the warning light turns off and then release the switch. 3) Now press and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch until the low tire pressure warning light blinks three times. 4) Initialization is *not* completed until driving at the vehicle speed of 19mph or over for more than one hour. the tire pressure monitoring starts when initialization is completed. mrhat 06-10-2011, 07:04 PM Disagree on the year introduced, 2007 was the first year of TPMS on the tC, I had a Spec package and was even on the 16" steelies. my 06 has them. Jon 06-10-2011, 07:47 PM I have a 06 and mine doesn't. According to this it shouldn't: http://scionlife.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68883 Irishguy0224 06-10-2011, 08:45 PM My TMPS light just came back on after being off for like 4 months... Stupid aftermarket wheels lol Jasper Ash 06-10-2011, 10:25 PM deleted this pic. Just didn't like it. mrhat 06-10-2011, 10:38 PM jon the little exclamation mark that shows up if your tire is low? Spoony 06-10-2011, 11:43 PM I think the argument is when did the TPMS sensors (that are attached to the valve stem) come out on the tC. Jon 06-11-2011, 12:32 AM jon the little exclamation mark that shows up if your tire is low? Everyone has the light, but how the car gets the info is different. In the 05-06 it's measured through the ABS system by sensing differences in rotational speed. In the 07+, there are 4 modules mounted on each valve stem on the wheels inside the tires. mrhat 06-11-2011, 07:27 AM oh. I failed. I will now leave the thread. tC-S08 06-13-2011, 05:56 AM If I have 6-7 turns on my extended ICHIBA wheel stud after installing 10mm spacers am I good or how many turns am I suppose to have to b safe? INFKT 06-14-2011, 08:28 AM If I have 6-7 turns on my extended ICHIBA wheel stud after installing 10mm spacers am I good or how many turns am I suppose to have to b safe? Were ur aftermarket extended studs meant for 10mm spacers? Im running stock studs with an 8mm..n i prolly have less turns than you..i think u shud be alright. tC-S08 06-14-2011, 09:33 AM Yea in the notes it stated recommended to be used with wheel spacers up to 15mm, but I drive my car very far everyday so I was worried with the amount of spins I had just wasn't sure if it's safe so I wanted to ask for some help just cause for some reason I thought I would have had more spins with these 45mm studs. So then I should b fine running these long distance with the amount of turns rite?(6-7turns) mmmpshh 06-14-2011, 03:22 PM you need 8 turns minimum INFKT 06-14-2011, 03:56 PM You are fine running the spacers. fliphm00b 06-14-2011, 05:04 PM http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5223/5832122948_ba8574591d_b.jpg INFKT 06-14-2011, 05:48 PM Thats some really nice poke u have there. fliphm00b 06-14-2011, 08:46 PM Why thank you, I still need to camber the fronts a little more it's eating up my front fenders paint :( Spoony 06-14-2011, 11:36 PM Larger spacers up front, Mark? fliphm00b 06-14-2011, 11:51 PM Kinda just 5mm's more. Which coilovers have you ran? The reason I have a bit of a bounce on my B&G coilovers is that I requested increased spring rates(8K front, 10K rear), they only had the front springs available. Currently on 8K for the front without getting the dampers revalved because they said the damper could handle a +/- 2K spring rate change, well I don't think it's doing it as well as I thought they would. I havent checked on the preload since i've had them installed so i might adjust that before going to the 6K springs they usually come with. The rears are 8K and are perfect. I think it's your coilover selection that you need to research on. Hayseed 06-21-2011, 06:13 PM thats great and all, but you need to take into consideration how much room there is in the wheel well, suspension clearance, etc. Which is why its nice to see specific examples of specific cars. No I understand. I'm just trying to show people some effective tools and how to use them. Lol @ spoony Jon 06-21-2011, 06:16 PM There's no substitute for experience. After you've done it once, the fitment calculation is a piece of cake. The only issue I have is people who want information spoon fed to them without putting in any of their own effort. And why people try and keep specs/mods a secret is beyond me. Spoony 06-21-2011, 06:18 PM And what exactly is my attitude? My previous statements still stand. bignoog 06-21-2011, 06:19 PM The only issue I have is people who want information spoon fed to them without putting in any of their own effort. Understandable. Just remember some of these young guys on here don't have the money to buy a wheel only for it not to fit. It's a one shot deal for a lot of these guys. Being able to look at a combination on another car greatly helps them. Hayseed 06-21-2011, 06:20 PM There's no substitute for experience. And why people try and keep specs/mods a secret is beyond me. This. What is the fun in having someone online tell you what to do? Go out there and figure stuff out for yourself. Thats where you earn experience, not in, as jon said, having it spoon fed to you. Another thing too, if we were to all put our specs up, it doesnt change the problem of having to search through the 400 pages of posts. bignoog 06-21-2011, 06:20 PM And what exactly is my attitude? My previous statements still stand. UH HUH...your my hero Spoony 06-21-2011, 06:23 PM Jon for the win! Hayseed 06-21-2011, 06:24 PM Lol bignoog you're the one with the attitude. Something I've seen in other forums work too is to have a pic thread where users post pics and specs. Then there is a discussion thread where users discuss about that thread. Jasper Ash 06-21-2011, 06:30 PM Don't you guys just love ScionLife? http://images.cheezburger.com/completestore/2011/3/7/811c3957-f2ca-4ee5-a87c-fa1f410325a4.jpg Spoony 06-21-2011, 06:34 PM IT'S SO FLUFFY!!!11 Hayseed 06-21-2011, 06:36 PM http://pictures.mastermarf.com/blog/2010/100619-u-still-mad.jpg Jon 06-21-2011, 06:37 PM Understandable. Being able to look at a combination on another car greatly helps them. I had no experience the first time I bought aggressive wheels. Hell those were the first aftermarket wheels I had bought period. But I made sure I looked around and did a lot of reading before I purchased. There are too many common wheel setups for people to claim to be completely lost. If I could count the number of times I've seen "18x9.5" posted on this forum you'd be shocked. With all that unoriginality around here there's no excuse to ask if wheel "X" will fit. If you use that as your baseline, you can use the fitment calculators to find out what's possible. Hayseed 06-21-2011, 06:38 PM JFTW again. DTRUONG_112 06-21-2011, 07:02 PM Didnt meant to start an argument LOL. Anyways, opinions on "stretchy tires". Searched and couldnt find the results that I was looking for. Deciding between the Federals and Nankangs but open to other tire experiences too. yellowxhoodie 06-21-2011, 07:04 PM just buy em both and learn from your mistakes broooo. DTRUONG_112 06-21-2011, 07:07 PM ^Best advice ever LOL. boricua3230 06-21-2011, 07:10 PM I had no idea what I was doing when I first got my rims. Got 18x7.5 which now I think suck ___! You live and you learn. Still saving for my next set of rims which are going to be 18x9.5 LOL. Spoony 06-21-2011, 07:25 PM Didnt meant to start an argument LOL. Anyways, opinions on "stretchy tires". Searched and couldnt find the results that I was looking for. Deciding between the Federals and Nankangs but open to other tire experiences too. I'll field this general question. Both Nankangs and Federals are affordable. Nankangs stretch easier but are also narrower than the Federals. Federals run a bit wider, but stretching ability varies according to size. 09SocalTC 06-21-2011, 08:11 PM I have my wheels specs hidden in a safe in my basement hehehe. dropzone 06-21-2011, 08:24 PM I'll have my wheels specs posted on the side of a Goodyear blimp going around the world so everyone knows! 09SocalTC 06-21-2011, 08:31 PM Aren't you scared?!?!?!?
