^ Thanks. The reason I went for them is because I get a 'Euro' vibe from them. I'm a big fan of VW stance. My original plan was to run little to no camber all around and just poke out the rears but without raising the car it proves to be challenging.

225/40/18 BFG KDW's in front (these are way fatter than the falken almost seem like 235's they have so much meat)

on Racelands. hotchkis rear camber kit. cambered the front as much stock would let me. rolled fenders. rear we didnt touch camber, they cambered themselves lol. dont want to pull a fender in front so prob wont go lower. car is EVEN level. although front seems to look higher it isnt.

^ lol why? So he can pretend they are not Rotas? Taking off the caps is just one step away from faking the funk, isn't it? When the caps are off people are going to look at the wheels and immediately question "Works or Rotas?". I say keep them on. Nothing wrong with representing what you paid for.

Yea 225/40. Im waiting for when I drop the rear more and start rubbing on the bumper..I need to figure out what to do with that thing when the time comes. Sitting on a gentle -2.5 camber in the rear.

^ They're 18s. Again. I wanted to go with 17s but I liked these too much. I like how they look so big.

If you plan on going lower, look into running 215/40s. Its going to be near impossible to go much lower (functionally) on 225s. I made that mistake when I first bought the RPF1s. I tried to slam on 225s and it was just messing up my fenders. Maybe keep an eye out for 215s or post an ad on craigslist wanting to trade so when you do want to go lower it'll be easier to tackle.

so i did the initial put on n it was a it more of a mission than we had planned for i guess the last place that did my alignment jammed the bolt in for the rears where u adjust the camber so i couldnt get it out so camber it at like 2.5 rear when it needs to be at least at 2.8 if not im thinkin 3.0 so it will have to wait n the front i jus did max caber on stock bolts w/e that is i think 1.5 please correct me if im wrong though all in all i had to raise the car cuz my fenders are not rolled n due to the camber issue in the rear but enough with my rambling n here are jus 2 more teasers :P enjoy

I love the flat face. :shrug:. I wanted the NUE with a flat face but didn't want the 8.5" width that came with it. I think I could pull off a set of 17x8.5 flat faced cast BLQs.

205/40's, -3*F/-4*R camber, rolled fenders, and the realization its still gonna rub. What coilovers do you have? Im guessing a big part of it for me was that I went so low especially in the front so I rubbed a lot.

You can get reverse rake on any coilover set up. I really hope he didn't spend $2200 on wheels and then put RL/RK coils on it.

Oh Im well aware any coilover set up is prone to that but none more than the RL/RK because you'll be like "Oh I am gonna slam it/remove all perch rings" then the end product is the fronts dont go very low and the rears go ridiculously low. So when I see reverse rake, I assume RL/RK

just do what i did, tape off the surrounding area, and sand that area to a polish, its not perfect, but the polished metal makes it a lot less obvious

Jbell I shed a tear for you my brother:cry:. Not too sound rude or anything but this is a reason I don't stretch tires. The rim lip is totally exposed to any foreign objects and just waiting to be damaged.

I slight and gentle sand down could clean it up and recover that area.

Did you buy a full air kit or piece one together? And did you do your own install?

i sorta pieced it together. i did some mad research as to what i really wanted and how much i wanted to spend. i went with the digital air lift kit but didnt purchase the solenoids with it. instead i bought the accuair all in one solenoid box and manifold. i purchased the stuff on bagriders.com and they helped me a lot in terms of how to wire the two systems together.

i was planning on doing the install myself, hence all the mad research. but after a long debate with myself i couldnt afford more than a week without my car. so i outsourced the install to autofashion down in san diego (I used to go to UCSD). i kinda helped them here and there with the wiring and such.

Very nice. I've been thinking about piecing a kit together, to save cash and ensure I get exactly what I want. Someone else recommended bagriders so I'll speak with soon hopefully. However I'd wan't to do the install myself. I'd love to know how to do it. I'll borrow someones car or something so that I can spend a week or two on it. Thanks for the direction! I also really wanted to do the install myself but I was kinda nervous about where to route the air lines. Also I have a stealth setup cuz everything is mounted under the car. I have full trunk space.

One of my good friends is an air ride dealer, and I can get you a considerably better price than BagRiders without a doubt. I pieced together my setup through him and saved a boatload of money. I also installed the kit myself, and I can tell you that if it takes you more than a day to do it, then you should probably not be doing it at all. It's alot easier than it sounds IMHO.

MY setup is something like this...

AirLift Struts (the only ones you can get for the TC until you do universal bags)
Accuair VU4 Manifold
Accuair SwitchSpeed Management
2 Viar 400's
5 Gallon Tank

It's been bullet proof thus far. Quality products for sure. I wouldnt go the cheap route on air suspension....

I'd suggest a Cup Kit Jasper. Youtube it. You've already got great coils, just add on to them.

There are alot of BMW wheels that come in large sizes. Especially from the new ones. Style 95's for example come on 7series. 19x9/10. Even style 5's came in 18...

Maybe you had them widened? Not totally far fetched. But I digress. JDMish sounds cool.

Might be a dumb question but do you think that to thin of a tire like low pros? Im new to this new whole wheel fitment :) I just moved from 17x7 wheel setup.

No, with wheel fitment we stretch tires. Good rule of them I've found is never go above a 45 series of tire. I personally think 35 series look best.

^Looking at the last pic you're still 4x4'n it. I can see the top of the tread in the pics even. Most often the rear tires are tucked more than the front(which will have a bit of tuck, as they do have to turn), due to the rear arches being lower. Still, needs to get lower, and better light on the profile shot to better see the drop.
