andrewStC 01-25-2012, 08:40 AM fliphm00b, is that the racing solutions rs3 front grill? If so, how is the fitment? fliphm00b 01-25-2012, 09:33 AM ^no, its an authentic rs3 grille.. yellowxhoodie 01-25-2012, 01:28 PM ball so hard Jasper Ash 01-25-2012, 01:33 PM damn jaspper is it ok if i run the same set up as you cause that is super clean..... Thanks man. But I'd much rather you didn't. Not that I can tell anyone how to spend money or build their car, but it would be great if I could keep the little but of originality that I have. sosborne 01-25-2012, 03:32 PM deem Jasper looking good! Sorry shes dirty! havent tweaked the rears yet either! Oh and yes thats vinyl covering the holes from my oem lip for temporarily I threw on the lip for s__ and giggles :) i like how you put the vynils over the holes from oem lip. i need to do that with mine until i can find a new oem lip instead of the rs1. whered u get the vynil from to match paint? fliphm00b 01-25-2012, 04:36 PM ^naw I bought some from bluebatmobile. sosborne 01-25-2012, 04:54 PM ^naw I bought some from bluebatmobile. okay cool, thanks Jasper Ash 01-25-2012, 08:35 PM http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7169/6762263537_a0587fa919_z.jpg Gawd I love this OEM rear lip! jono06tc 01-25-2012, 09:37 PM DAT A$S! I currently have the equivelant of 10.5 +17 on my setup with some fender and quarter work done just so you have kind of an idea of what can and has been done. DTRUONG_112 01-26-2012, 07:37 PM Did you ever upload final pictures of your setup rrimportracer? Irishguy0224 01-26-2012, 08:19 PM thats a high offset for 10.5. if you get it to +35 itd be 32mm less clearance on the inner side compared to stock wheels. gotta be careful you have clearance with your strut. Hayseed 01-27-2012, 04:08 PM been searching around and cant seem to find a straight answer or a thread about this, which coilover is the lowest for the tc without modification to the coilover? do we have a thread that states which ones are lowest to least lowest? BC's with the extreme low kit all around, meaning short springs up front/short shock bodies in the rear. DTRUONG_112 01-27-2012, 04:11 PM been searching around and cant seem to find a straight answer or a thread about this, which coilover is the lowest for the tc without modification to the coilover? do we have a thread that states which ones are lowest to least lowest? Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but to my knowledge without modification would have to be BC. I know the B&Gs go low since that is my current setup, but the rear collars have to be removed for them to go low. Fronts require no modification. Irishguy0224 01-27-2012, 08:13 PM BC's with the extreme low kit all around, meaning short springs up front/short shock bodies in the rear. what he said ^^ and rrim what coils are you on? car looks great man! I had fender work done before doing in for paint so the only time I slightly rub is on a freeway onramp going fast lol. I'm on ricelands for now but they're shot, picking up a set of BC coils from someone next month. If I keep the car for much longer then I'm gonna change it up again towards the end of the year frankiietc 01-28-2012, 09:19 PM ^^Are the Front coils Modified? WTF?? So they aren't 15mm? Which should only be a little over half an inch... These adapters are actually 1.5 inches???? ...k now im confused. Which should only be a little over half an inch... These adapters are actually 1.5 inches???? ...k now im confused. Also, around how low in the offset numbers can i go without doing major fender work? I dont mind a slight pull but nothing major. with 9.5 in the rear, i'd say lowest offest you can go without major fender work is +15, and it also depends on how much you stretch your tires. im running 9.5 all around +30 and maxed out camber with rolled fenders on 235's and i rub a bit. if i were to slim my tires down to 225 or 215 even, i can clear no problem. going negative offset is insane and awesome, but requires some major fender modification Jasper Ash 02-24-2012, 08:30 PM with 9.5 in the rear, i'd say lowest offest you can go without major fender work is +15, and it also depends on how much you stretch your tires. im running 9.5 all around +30 and maxed out camber with rolled fenders on 235's and i rub a bit. if i were to slim my tires down to 225 or 215 even, i can clear no problem. going negative offset is insane and awesome, but requires some major fender modification ^ I'm running lower offsets on a 9.5 than +15, but with a 215 tire. Stretch really does quite a bit. Camber as well. chubbykai 02-24-2012, 08:33 PM good to know. i was considering changing out the 235 to 215, but i got the 235 continental dw's for such a good deal haha. i kind of wish there was a way to achieve a tad bit more camber after you max out. Jon 02-24-2012, 08:52 PM Ahhh.. WTF?? So they aren't 15mm? Which should only be a little over half an inch... These adapters are actually 1.5 inches???? ...k now im confused. Also, around how low in the offset numbers can i go without doing major fender work? I dont mind a slight pull but nothing major. The ones in the link are 15mm. That would put you at +20 (35-15). But to run less than 25mm adapters, you have to make sure your wheels have the pockets in between the holes on the mounting pad so your stock studs can have room. Otherwise you'll have to shave them down until their flush (or a little less) with the adapter. Yay Jaw Knee 02-24-2012, 09:16 PM ^^ WOW! Explanation was ON point JON! Took a pic for reference: No problem man. And yeah that's what I'm talking about. Those are pretty deep so you should have no problem. Also get the center bore of the wheels measured if you don't know already so they can make the ring the right size on the adapter to prevent vibration. Yay Jaw Knee 02-24-2012, 09:27 PM OK. I'll definitely do that. I didn't realize that was important. I guess i'll google how to measure it. Or would this have to be done by a shop or something? Jon 02-24-2012, 09:34 PM OK. I'll definitely do that. I didn't realize that was important. I guess i'll google how to measure it. Or would this have to be done by a shop or something? You can try calling Discount Tire or another shop that deals with aftermarket wheels. They should have a tool to measure it. You could do it yourself, but you need to know the inner diameter wall to wall, not on the top. It needs to be to a tenth of a millimeter. Yay Jaw Knee 02-24-2012, 09:40 PM Thank you, Sir. ThaHMan 02-25-2012, 01:09 PM Dial in some negative camber. Would this be my only option? Jasper Ash 02-25-2012, 02:36 PM ^ You could also run smaller tires. Since you're on springs and the wheels are not very wide you wont need a lot of stretch. Maybe go down a tire size or two. Those are pretty much your only options unless you want to mess with the fenders. pena1128 02-26-2012, 09:17 PM Never really posted pics of my wheels or car.....so here it goes.. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a48/erik_pena_1128/IMG_7512.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a48/erik_pena_1128/IMG_7496.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a48/erik_pena_1128/IMG_7493.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a48/erik_pena_1128/IMG_7505.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a48/erik_pena_1128/IMG_7501.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a48/erik_pena_1128/IMG_7507.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a48/erik_pena_1128/IMG_7520.jpg gmc_113 02-26-2012, 10:03 PM There not really aggressive. Picked up a set of BMW reps for dirt cheap today. Looking forward to picking up some adapters+tires soon! :icon_juggle: http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb447/jb021004/tc/Bmwrims3.jpg http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb447/jb021004/tc/Bmwrims2.jpg http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb447/jb021004/tc/Bmwrims1.jpg any pics of these on the car? specs? jeremydoc 03-12-2012, 06:36 PM btw, ive had these wheels a couple weeks now. and i dont think i ever posted in this thread. so here. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v236/jeremy7117/photo3-12.jpg tommy. when are we gonna do that photoshoot? Jasper Ash 03-12-2012, 08:55 PM Mightnight_blue. Looks good. Like the high contrast! Tom, can you take out any perches to go lower? Rear looks great. Front could definitely use more drop to work, IMO. And didn't you have an OEM lip or something? IMO, It would look A LOT better with no lip rather than that lip. Especially with your fitment. A full OEM lip on your car, with those wheels and fitment. I'd have a chubby for it. One more. I'm going to try to stop taking so many pics of my car. I'm just getting new photography goods and it's my favorite available subject. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7179/6968566111_e2e3404c58_z.jpg Irishguy0224 03-12-2012, 09:24 PM Jasper, you're becoming an incredible photographer man Jasper Ash 03-12-2012, 09:40 PM Thank you, bro. Means a lot. <3 midnight_blue 03-12-2012, 09:54 PM Thanks Jasper, Im a complete photo noob, I just press different buttons on my camera and bam a good pic. and pic whore away bro never tried of seeing your car. And I agree with jasper tom put the oem lip back on its more classy to suit the bbs, I think that lip is more sporty. Tom11x 03-13-2012, 01:49 AM Tom, can you take out any perches to go lower? Especially with your fitment. A full OEM lip on your car, with those wheels and fitment. I'd have a chubby for it. Jasper. Front and Rear has remove perches. I had falken 512 205/40/17 mounted on before. It was about 2 finger gap. So went out and bought 205/45/17 just to cover that gap. Yay Jaw Knee 03-13-2012, 02:21 AM any pics of these on the car? specs? Working on it. Money is tight. I just bought the adapters from Stinkysab and apparently the stamped bolt pattern on the wheels (5x114.3) were incorrect. Blah Blah long story short i need tires/adapters. They'll be on soon. Specs will be: 18x9.5 and 18x8.5 (+19) w/ adapters trdscion 03-13-2012, 05:13 AM What wheels midnight? Wheel/tire specs? Look like Rotas. Hayseed 03-13-2012, 05:22 AM Working on it. Money is tight. BlkTC 03-13-2012, 06:24 AM i know i'm late.. but i now hate BBS RS's.. lol Hayseed 03-13-2012, 07:04 AM i know i'm late.. but i now hate BBS RS's.. lol Its not the first time they're played out. That happened....like two years ago. BlkTC 03-13-2012, 07:29 AM yeah, idk if you've noticed, but i've been afk from the "game" for 2 years.. lol Yay Jaw Knee 03-13-2012, 01:41 PM ^ BMW = 5x120. I don't know how they would have been stamped any differently. They are Manaray Evo VR5. They are some old JDM reps. Apparently, pretty rare to come across. Discontinued some time back. They are in fact stamped 5x114.3 but on the barrel (where the tire mounts) there is a tiny sticker that says "Inspected 2002 by 'blah blah' 120 mm" I didn't see that until AFTER i bought the adapters and AFTER i measured myself and realized they were 5x120.
