Default Im In need of suggestions for a new manifold

I have been thinking of getting a new manifold for my tC. I was thinking of the Megan Racing(made after the sound performance design). Ive never heard of one breaking on our cars. And, I know about the wastegate recirculation fitment issue with the downpipe, I plan to get it cut off and welded and run open dump.

My questions is are there anymore fairly affordable turbo manifold out there, that arent log manifolds and are equal lenth..?

Thanks Vinny..

I would be interested in seeing someone chime in with experience on the Megan Racing manifold - the manifold and downpipe looks pretty decent and can be had for a great price.

that doesnt apply in all cases.

Its just bent exhaust piping.. I would never pay $1200+ for a manifold+downpipe.

If the fitment is good on the megan why not get it? Im sure they will replace it if you manage to crack stainless steel.

The TT manifold+downpipe isnt going to make insane HP numbers over anything else . i cannot justify the cost

Sorry $1150 + Shipping for a manifold and downpipe
http://www.whyindustries.com/store/p...roducts_id=100

TT Kits are not making crazy numbers compared to other kits. Maybe a few HP.. but not enough to spend 3x the money.

I dont see a "basik" manifold.

Yes.. power is power when u have unlimited funds.

Now back to reality.

Option 1:
TT Manifold + Downpipe
$1200

Option 2
Megan Mani $235
Megan Downpipe $160
Tial 38mm Ex. Waste gate $220
NEW Garret T3/T4 Turbo $650
$1265 Total

come on man.. what would you do

I like the TT stuff.. it looks like awesome stuff and I love how he supports the community.. but for people that are cost-conscience (sp?) TT stuff is not practical when putting together a custom kit.

if you can afford the 2.1 mani and a $1300 turbo then good for you.

You seem to have missed the point of the OP. He said "affordable"

I laid out an affordable kit setup. You laid out something with more than twice the cost.

Stockturbo15, are you even boosted?? Your profile says "N/A all day" which says to me that you arent boosted. Why take advice from a non turbo guy over advise from turbo cars about a car with a turbo??? Doesnt make much sense to me. Plus, I dont think too many turbo kits, other that TT kits, are making 300+ hp on less than 10lbs. I'm pretty sure Greddy's cant. Dezod? maybe. Plus he said quality too. Noone that has a TT cat would say a think negative about the kit or the mani. Maybe you dont want the best for your car. If thats the case so be it. Enjoy the cheap crap. More power to ya. If you want the best for your car then buy the best. Turbotoyota should be the only option right now for EL manis.
