Default How to remove: center plastic cover below the cig. ligher??

Yah..that piece right in front of the great shifter.
I am planning to take that piece out and drill some holes to mount my interior lights' power adapters..

How to remove it without breaking? Any ideas? Thanks...

Are you talking about the kick plate under the dash? Or the center console (cupholders, shifter...)

The kickplate just pulls off. Pull away from the driver's side edge towards the door. That's it.

The floor center console is removed by undoing the screw in the back cupholder spot. Then grab under the front cupholder and pull up.

Simple as that.

i believe there are 2 push fastners (one on each side of the kick plate) that must be removed prior to the kick pannel removal. these round push fastners are like the ones that are on the back hatch = pain in the **** to remove, but they can be done. get yer head inside the drivers side footwell, pull the carpet back slightly away from the kick pannel and you should see one of the push fastners, the other is on the passengers' side in the same location. i found that some bent tip needle nose pliers are perfect for getting these suckers out of this location, but if they are not avail, anything you can get to pry these out will do. when and if you break em, they are 35 cents at the hardware store in the "automotive fastners" section.. just look for some that have a similar size. i believe i got nissan ones and they were a direct match..

Only one fastener on the passenger side, nothing on driver side to remove. Remove the one fastener from passenger side and then pull off. Easy

Depending upon what you're doing back there, you might not have to remove the entire panel. If you're just tossing transformers back there, you don't really need to take it out.

Default done..

Got it out, thanks guys.

I wanted to drill some holes and mount 2 side walls on the thing, so it can form a little storage area between the cup holders and the center console.

Now to find something to use as sidewalls..
