I actually thought it was my Mac, so I tried to get on with my Ipod Touch...nope, somethings wrong with SL again. I actually went to another xB site, along with Sciond, and posted up over there but I'm glad that SL is up again!

ok so I was having the withdrawls also, but then I found out if you refreshed the page like 3 times it came up(very annoying to do) but came up. So if it happens again there you go

I had my wife check the site out while she was at work but only the home page would come up for her then it would go error.
On another thread Tomas said the servers went down. I just hope it never happens again. It was very scary. :nails:

SL is low man on the totem pole as far as online resources go. They hold all their sites higher on the list.

FYI NRG was down too. We share interent hosts .. providers what ever they are called.

From what we were told, there was a fire at one of their locations ... and it knocked their entire line off line. Somthing along the lines of 7,500 customers were down. SL and NRG were 2 of those 75 hundred. They were quick to point out that they were working all weekend day and night to move all the important info to another satellite site somewhere in Texas to get everyone back on line while they survey the damage to the equipment.

I too went to clubxB where i had to refresh my profile after i noticed that my future mods ( head rest TVs, hood struts, header ) were all installed years ago and the TVs have since been removed and sold. LOL.

actually CMSIMONSEZ that is not correct
"Tomas"No, we aren't hosted from that server farm (thank goodness).

Customers hosting with ThePlanet, a major Texas hosting provider, are going through some tough times. Yesterday evening at 5:45 pm local time an electrical short caused a fire and explosion in the power room (http://www.allheadlinenews.com/articles/7011131199), knocking out walls and taking the entire facility offline. No-one was hurt and no servers were damaged. Estimates suggest 9,000 servers are offline, affecting 7,500 customers, with ETAs for repair of at least 24 hours from onset. While they claim redundant power, because of the nature of the problem they had to go completely dark. This goes to show that no matter how much planning you do, Murphy's Law still applies.
Here's a Coral CDN link to ThePlanet's forum (http://forums.theplanet.com.nyud.net:8080/index.php?showtopic=90185&pid=592269&st=0) where[ staff are posting updates on the outage. At this writing almost 2,400 pelople are trying to read it.

Not that i give 2 sh**s ... but what part of my statement wasnt true? The fact that i stated there was a fire ... or was it the 7,500 customers affected? I mean, if i was off on one of technical terms or computer jargin you must forgive me as im not a computer guru.

Dude ... get a grip. I CLEARLY stated that NRG was down as well ( "NRG was down too") meaning that we both; NRG and SL, use OkiHost. I also stated that this was due to a fire .. and to drive the point home i added the 7,500 cusotmers that were affected. You copied and pasted exactly what i said. So i dont get it .. what exactly twisted your nipples about what i said. What i said was true ... i didnt lie about the fire, the recovery nor how many were affected. Or are you just that bored with life that you feel the need to nit pick?
