for the money...it would be very expensive. Boltons won't do the trick, so you would need to dive into having internal work done...Not sure if that's what you want to get in to. FI is the only answer if you want serious power out of our 4cyl.

^well kinda but i'm happy with the way it runs for now, but i still got some deciding to do and if i go camcon i can get it for under $200 only problem is finding the right tuners to tune it but then again i rather wait and save for a turbo because yes tuning is not cheap.

it controls your air/fuel ratio, VVT-i timing, valve & cam timing, etc.

that isn't gonna get you 200hp...

If you search, you can find answers. Shoot, just search tcpete and see how close he came with bolt ons and INTERNALS done. I don't remember if he was tuned or not... But it will be damn hard with just I/H/E...

yeah he wasn't tuned from what i remember but doing internals can get you close enough just that the pistons, rods, port and polish is pretty expensive as well as the labor for it. but hey if you are looking into boosting later on with a higer psi then go for it but all bolt-ons and tune is about 170~whp.

Actually i thought tcpete was near 190ish with bolt-ons and internals and he needed a tune or a better tune or something. I tried searching for the last post on his numbers b ut i came up empty.

If you have a good intake, full exhaust not a cheap ebay one, header, 11.0-1 Pistons, PnP head with oversized valves, and a good engine management that is tuned you could get that. Keep in mind this will cost. I figure around 5k with a standalone so you can get full potential out of it and that is if you do the labor. Keep in mind that is just an estimate. Part prices change all the time.

exactly it does cost so it's cheaper to just go turbo..well not really but still for about the same amount you can get more power. just gotta know how to take care of it and that's it.

I went the whole IHE route, and didn't get anywhere near 200WHP. You will be better served via FI, Supercharger. Header offers the most horsepower coupled with Intake, however your whole power band is changed and you will lose torque down low. Supercahrger offers nice increases with a header and axle back and your warranty will be intact, so start saving and best of luck. Turbo offers much higher gains but then so goes your warranty.

best time at countyline was 9.9/9.8 on that crap track on flaken 452's and never catching grip until 3rd.... moroso is down so 1/4 can wait. and if u dont remember me.. i was one of the SW's who YOU met at the meets in miami lakes a long time ago.... didnt cost much at all... most of my friends are industry ppl who give me stuff for free or cheap.. less then 2k spent including bolt ons... if u know your way around motors.. its not a hard task...

i ran 9.997 with I/H/E/crank pulley/throttle body spacer, the race slip i lost or is somewhere lost in my room LOL. but now i added a water-pump/alternator pulleys, s-pipe, and engine damper so once the wheather gets settled i'll be going back to break into 9.8's on stock tires that is. sometime in september i am looking into going with greddy blue-pnp harness so i hope it can hit 165whp~ LOL.

not all tracks are great/// the track i ran is ghettp , fresh roads, and not up to par. i could run a 9.9 there but clear 9.5 somewhere else... but you can talk to alot of miami rsx, g35 or new si owners who've all gotten beat or almost beaten.. once moroso is back up ( a real race track) i should have some good 1/4 mile times... i dont catch grip until half way... many locals can vouch for that

i don't blame you, we had a 1/4 track out here which was horrible because right across the street they had asphalt and there was always wind so it messed up the track. at another one around the area people would run a sec lower because of the good shape it's kept in. the 1/8th i went to is well taken care of...except for where the turn around is right after the line which put alot of stress on my brakes
