these are the Audiobahn DUB269 rated at 200 RMS and 95 Sensitivity!

They look like they belong there. I just gotta get rid of that cheesy chrome cover now :/









It took 2 days and $10 for the carpet but theyre in there!!

the only problem i have with making more brackets is that i would have to take these out and start over, and believe it or not it actually took me 2 days to make these! lol

you can start at the very top or at the top of the black piece

Me and my brother were actually wanting to do this to my box. Except normal door speakers put some shallow well subs in the beast. I think it ould look sick. And great jo man looksclean

i want to do this but with a component system. a nice 4" midrange and a tweeter would really help back there. i have a 6.5" cdt component system in the rear doors and the highs are slacking compared to the front.

Yea, it sounds 1000 times better. They are two way speakers so they hit the highs real nice and get those lows out pretty good for no subs (yet muahahaha i have 4 12" subs ready to go in as soon as i fix my amp)

I just screwed through the plastic into the piece of wood i used to mount them back there.

Unfortunately I did not keep any measurements. BUT all I did to get the template was I took a piece of paper and traced the outline. Even then it took a couple of times getting it down to size so it would fit perfect. Since the corners are rounded I couldn't get a good measurement though. sorry.

looks really good, nice and clean the only thing i'm not fond of are those chrome grills, i'd paint them black or something myself imo they're just ugly....but other then that excellent job

Here's the whole reason I put those 6X9s in in the first place!.
The box is not complete yet, but these subs are REDICULOUS!
It's hooked up for a total of 2800 RMS Wattage and about 7000 Total Wattage.
it's 4 12" AW1200 series audiobahn subs and 1 hk802sx amp.

IT RATTLES MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS!! luckily I have a remote gain up by the drivers seat so I can control the loudness of the bass from my seat

Putting different subs the same sealed box produces different frequencies. You could be possibly overpowering one or under powering three. I couldn't tell you but I can tell you that means more work for the amp. Excursions will be different and cause clipping. Which means more power on a less-er system.

Now, it may sound good if it does well more power (pun intended) to you.

BTW, step away from Wal-Mart and walk over to a local audio center.

I'm pretty sure that's what it's for. I know my box rocked quite a bit with heavy acceleration and deceleration. Built a false floor, sunk box down, problem solved!

I'm not sure, but the one sub with the different cone could be the same subwoofer but reconed/repaired. Probably has the same voice coil, spiders, etc. The surrounds look different, and I'm pretty sure that would change the thiele small paramaters, but I doubt by that much.

Have fun with that big MA amplifier. From my understanding, it's pretty current hungry. A cap won't help. Let me know if you need advice!

Actually that one different looking sub is just the newer model of those same subs. Thats why I say they are the aw1200 series from Audiobahn. They all have the same exact specs but the newer different one has better efficiency, which last time i checked will not cause different frequencies. Thanks for the advice though.

and yea. Thats what those pieces of wood are for. It's so the system won't tip over. I put the subs in for a day before I had the wood and no matter how smoothly i shifted (manual transmission) the subs were dancing in the back. I didn't like the idea of having to completely alter my driving technique to have these subs in there.

The big MA amplifier is definitely power hungry, but the great thing is i dont have to play it at full power all the time. I do have the 3.0 farrad cap, which like xseveredveganx mentioned doesn't really help. The cap has a voltage reader on it and the lowest ive seen it go at idle is 10.5..... i'm pretty sure im gonna need a new alternator soon

I appreciate all the comments though. the whole system has been a lonnng time coming and i'm glad i to hear what some other sound nerds have to say about it
