why does anyone think that's a toyota?

both the front and rear look like a 3 door imprezza nothing toyota like at all

It's a Legacy with the trunk shortened by like 5 inches. Not much of a mule. Only toyota badge on it is on the back of the passenger sun visor. Looks more like Toyota is testing a Legacy to gauge how to proceed on the new AE86/Celica. Interesting that Toyota is looking at a Legacy instead of a WRX or STI.

it was just a mule, the concept looked completely different.. we'll see if it turns out like the concept.

the "concept" you speak of is nothing at all related to this nor was it the "celica" you all and the auto blog websites think it is..

Definitely not the new RWD ToyBaru, it's supposed to use a completely new platform. This is clearly a 2-door Legacy...

Latest Road & Track has a paragraph on the new toyota/subie car with a photo illustration thats pretty cool. Can't find the pic online, and I'm too lazy to scan it.
