hey has anybody installed a pillar gauge pod.... my concern is the pill airbags.... what do you guys think

i have an 08 and have a 3 pod pillar on and its fine just make sure u leave alot of slack in the lines for the guages and its more where the woahhh handel is then in the actual pillar

I thought to install you take the stock pillar off attach the pod on top of the pillar then install the stock one back so that it snaps back in the way its supposed to. And if I'm not mistaken if you drill through you wont hit the airbag,

its dangerous and kind of stupid.
to install it you would normally screw the pod pillar into the stock pillar...not smart, putting screws into where an airbag is located.
also, if you ever get in an accident...think about it, you gonna have 3 gauage and a pillar come flying directly at your face...ouch.

i bought the pillar pod a while ago but decided to use my better judgment and sell it.
just the get the gauge pod that sits up on the dash.

The airbags are not inside the A pillar. They are at the top of the window near the handle.

The Scionlife search works perfectly fine if you know how to use it. Let me guess, you clicked search, typed in "a-pillar gauge pod", pressed search, found 6324873264983217463214682734683276 entries, and called it a day.

Now let's go to the bottom half of the search page, and go to a little something called "Forum:". Now scroll thru it and click "Scion tC ICE & Interior". Click search. Watch everything you searched for appear.

Searching for "pillar gauge pod" in the tC interior forums yielded 28 results. 28 results which had your answer. Even some DIY threads.

The search doesn't suck, you just suck at searching.
