Default motor mounts or inserts???

so i finally took the car to the track again, only thing i changed was the fact that im on 17x8 wheels and 235 40 17 kdw's, and a s-pipe. i know these tires arent meant for drag racing, and i know the track is alot warmer then the first time i ran, but i was very disappointed, and to top it off, my wheel hop out of the hole is getting wrost,
so my question is, would it be better to buy the mounts through speedsource, or just order the inserts from energy suspen.
with the inserts i can always pull them out when im no longer wantin to run them, from what i have read on here the mounts you actually have to cut up your old mount to install.
other question is on the speedsource site, they make it sound like you are getting complete mounts ready to bolt in, have they changed it cause all the dyi on here state that you have to re-use the bracket and throw away the rubber.

i brought this up afew months back and talked myself out of spending the money, but now since i have found the inserts, im thinking about giving them a try, and since i am still upset from my trip to the track

some one bought the inserts and they ended up being full replacements, not inserts, so you can either go enerty for a set of 3, or speed source for a set of 2 but the front includes teh bracket, where the engery are only the poly.

yeah, i was looking into that, difference in price is what i wasnt understanding, i can get the energy shipped to my door for just at 60 bucks, and the speedsource are 175 plus shipping, i was reading the thread where you were installing them, that was a while back, how are you liking them and was it worth it in the long run, did some of the road noise and vibs go away or did you just get use to it?

I have the first set of Speed source mounts and I'm still loving them. The vibration isn't bad when your turbo. Stock it was a little rough.

Yeah, stock idle is at 1K or so, so it's kinda bad, but you get used to it.
after boost, idle drops to 800 so no more vibs then usually...you only get it at 1K at 5400 or so RPMs
With the speedsorce, your paying for tha front mount (so much easier) and i beleive a higher durometer, so stiffer.

aen, you got the back in? When? how hard was it? and when are we gonna do mine!

I have the energy suspension mounts.Took me about three hours to do the whole set.Probably almost two hours alone for the rear one.Use a air hammer with a chisel bit and be careful not to damage the mount. To get out old bushings and use a bench vise with a piece of wood to press them in.(after the mounts are out of the car)

i thought the energy just slipped over the stock ones, do they not? i always thought the term inserts meant that they just fill the voids of the oem mount, if that is not the case then ill def be buying those, i searched on here and everyone is always talking about the speedsource, but cant ever find any more info on the energy suspension
