its not hard, just put a damp rag on a cookie sheet, preheat to 315, bake for 10 min and pull it out and pry it apart.

or if you feel 315 is too high, my friends and i do it at 225 for 15 min and it works perfect.

also if you change your mind on smoking the side markers my friend and i sell clear corners for 20shipped. :)

i noticed theres nothing in that one about applying new sealant on when putting them back together...moisture buildup would be aweful i only wanna do this once haha. what would you guys recommend as a sealant?

Take the 4 Screws out from the backside.

i set my oven at 250 for 15mins...

then pull apart w/ oven gloves & a flathead screw driver!

Then re-heat the adhesive then put back together!!!

i put a bead of black silicone around my headlights and also i put a silica gel packet in each headlight... just incase. i didnt want any fogging...

I went to Ace hardware and went to the glue section and found a clear sealant that was marine grade and after re-baking them and putting the screws back in I ran a bead around the whole headlight and haven't had a problem.

where did you put that gel packet without it being noticeable??
and i'll go check for some of that sealant. i just put it one lap around after press the 2 housing s back together?

^ u dont need a gel pak or sealant!...

just reheat the original adhesive back in the oven and do a slow good job!

I just wanna be extra safe, its my first time baking them open so i want to make sure nothing gets back in or no moisture or anything develops :)

underneth the black bezel i glued the silica gel packet to the housing, so far it works out great.

and even tho i put the lights back in the oven for 10 min when i was done, with no sealant and no packets i got condensation almost instantly (and i took a good 20 min per headlight to make sure that they were sealed right, with all clips and what not held down tight. so i went back opened them again threw the gel pack in and ran a silicone bead down. no problems for almost a year :)
