I'm gearing up for a nice carputer install. I want to know if anyone has actually fit a xenarc 700V (or similiar) lilliput 7" monitor in the stereo dash. I took the flap down panel completely off and it seems that it might fit with modification. There is some kind of headrest shroud which might be of some help.

The only thing like that that I have seen in a tC is an AVN-2454 installed. Your project sounds interesting, keep us updated!

 

I installed a double-din kenwood dvd player and still had plenty room. The screen is 6.5" though, and I don't know how different your system is.

 

ive been looking in to this for quite some time i cant find any 7" monitors that will fit not even if the door is removed ill see if i can find demensions for this one but we dont have much room from what i have been looking at

 

Seems like the only way to make a screen fit is by remolding a new casing to fit into the dash. Will give nice factory look to it. This can be done with fiberglass. Will keep my progress posted.

i plan on goin with the lilliput 8" touch in my B once i get my carputer back from gettin warrantied by my friend at his work.
