Pare, it's a one off that my tech fabricated at the dealership. He went through about 6 different size (mm) plates to get it right without jeopardizing the angles. It's hard since we have a solid rear axle. But I'm happy for now. I'm waiting on some Cuscos to come in.

a bit off subject, but do your taillight reverse lights work with the single bumper one?
thanks

the bumper reverse light is non-functional now since I've gotten the rumion tails. I haven't found time yet to shave the reaf bumper.

Price for the kit is $185.00 shipped within the 48 states. The kits are going through QA as we speak. I will post the PayPal address once they're all ready to ship. Stay tuned.

ha ha, negative cambers look cool, but will destroy your tire. i have lowered my volvo 3" and have major negative front and back. the rear tires are damged in <10k miles

well i had my otg shims on my 1st gen for 26k miles and had a SLIGHT bit of camber wear on the inside of my falkens. You my friend suffered from non corrective toe issues. bad toe = tire scrubbage FTL

You have a lot to learn.

Learn about VIP Style.

Wide, Low, crazy camber, stretched tires, drive slow.

So you guys actually want to intentionally wear out your tires and rear bearings on purpose, for the sake of your car looking like a POS Volkswagen bug? WOW!

WOW, you guys need to do a little researching before your posting. Your ideas on what VIP Style is and how negative camber "destroys" tire tread may be alittle off cue.
Vip Style is not for everyone, negative camber is not for everyone.
Hey I think making my car faster then what I can legally is a waste, but you don't see me posting on those threads:)

It's a style... not for everyone, common sense says why but hey its evolved this way for years... Traditionally neg camber doesn't make a car VIP styled.... today that is the accepted norm and the current trend but really the style is still evolving to find its own identity....

I did a cool piece on the whole Japanese VIP style thing a few years ago... read it here

http://hincity.com/blogs/entry.asp?b=1&id=34590716KK9C7X6E0KC7Y6WB

Again dont take it to seriously, its a style, people will do weird things. I've never been a fan of stretched tires and neg camber myself but you can't deny the presence of a VIP Styled vehicle so points there!

No matter how much we explain or try to educate others about VIP (bippu) styling for that matter it will be a challenged for them to understand, keep in mind most of us at one point we've owned and tricked out our cars to be fast which were heavily modded for performance - racing. When one drives a bippu car, they drive slow.

This VIP topic has been argued too many times.

One day, it will catch on and that's my dream.

Go_HIN

bippu isn't even a word, its just the closest sounding US attempt at how they pronounce (VEE EYE PEE), in Japan they have no letter V which thus creates BIPPU.

Whether it catches on or not, ppl still need to understand it's history, how things began, where it caught interest, and who and what styles to pay homage to. There are alot of influences from hot rods, and euros that many of today's so called VIP purist dont even recognize.

I think the most mildest forms will catch on, it'll be hard for the boso styles to really make a dent here.

I totally agree. For example, that purple 1st gen. Thing is sick as hell, but I doubt I'd own it...

VW Type1's are the sh*t, too.

VW's started me off on customizing vehicles.

Plus, that Lexus looks rad! Camber helps you tuck, FYI.

seen to many guys just put cmaber on there Scion just becuase...

Call it Camber abuse.. lol

IT has to be done right.. and tastefully..

IMO unless you going really wide wheels that will stick out and try to tuck them in the fender.. putting camber on wheels that are your normal narrow wheels is just .. shake my head and wonder why..

IMO looks best with high end wheels

but again what ever rocks your boat.. its your car..

eight08customs
09-21-2008, 04:43 AM
example

why you would need to camber.. you have s wheels thats have a crazy offest and wider than you need...

IF the wheels arent sticking out with out camber why even waste your time with camber..

sorry but thats my take on this whole camber topic..

but again its a money maker and what ever floats your boat and make you happy..

all the work on that tc and a stock grill :(

Go_HIN
09-22-2008, 01:31 AM
I think the stock grill looks 10x's better than many of the others out there on the market currently. Personally alot of the grills out there these days are either mesh or tacky....

and I would normally totally 100% agree w/ the above mentioned. If you dont got the right wheels to need to tuck it then its a total waste of performance, stability, reliability, and a joke. But I'm going to have to disagree b/c at the end of the day our cars are fwd and so if you use the above logic then you might as well call it on the staggered look for fashion.
