Default Thinking of buying a Scion xB

OK... so I like the first generation better then the second (better gas mileage) but I may decide on the second.

Currently I have money down on a Scion xD special release. But the more I look at the box, the more I like it. I like the xD because of gas mileage and seems to be reliable. But Now am considering an Xb (1st or 2nd gen). I wonder if tehre are any new scion xB first gen out there? Which is better (reliable, more gas mileage) the xb first gen or 2nd gen? Or, should I just stick with my special edition scion xD?

i say stick with the xd. they are all toyota and all reliable but with the xd you get a little bit of 1st gen xb with bigger engine same gas milage. that xd will have a little bit higher resale because of the rs series.

Hmm, OK... any other opinions? It's so weird, the more I look at the box, the more I like it.

I love my Gen1 xB....lots of room and great mileage, but for the about the same money, You can get a new xD with a little more power, about the same mileage and have a new car warrantee....something else to think about

I am with Sciond Because i hated the 1st gen Xb at first till i drove one and seen the room and how it drove and the gas milage. Now I have owned my 06 scion XB for 2 years and love it better then the 2nd gen and any other car right now there are plenty of mods you can do to it if you are in to it and you can make it look good and kepp the same gas milage as long as you keep your foot out of the gas lol. But i love the scion XB the most.

What I like about the Scion xBs (both gen) is they are more roomy, which means more road trips. They seem safer... they seem better all around. But they don't get as good gas mileage! Ugh!

I really like the XD engine, but the XB overall, is just ....awesome! Hopefully you can find a nice used XB out there fairly cheap. Either way you go (XB or XD) you will surely be happy. Good luck!

As far as the Gen 1 xB, road trips can be a little difficult if you do not plan to add a roof rack. Gen 1s were made for hauling people, not gear. So if you want cargo room go with the Gen 2 or the xD. As CHPRBOX8 said, all your options will be reliable, so you can take that out of your decision making process. IMO the Gen 1 xBs are the best looking. If you don't feel strongly about the looks of one car over another, I'd stick with your xD.
