So a few of us Vegas folk got together today, and slammed (well not really, thank God) our XBs with 2" drop Goldline springs. The ride is great. The springs really soften up the ride.....while tightening up handling at the same time. I love them so far. Here are some pics to give everyone an idea of what they can expect with some Goldline springs:

A comparison of my ride and LVXB's ride with the same stock wheels and tires on both. My car obviously has the Goldlines on, while LVXB (James right?) has stock springs. As you can see, the difference is very visible.

Here are some before measurements, of the front wheel, the sideskirt, and back wheel respectively:

Here are the same measurements taken after the Goldlines were installed:

Here's Vegasscions's XB after the drop, a full pic, and a measurement from the sideskirt, keeping in mind that he has 17" wheels and 45 series tires (sorry, didn't get before's, cause I had to leave to get my digital cam while they were working on his......stupid me........forgot it):

And here's one of Bill and Stretch working, and a closeup of the spring on the strut:

Joe, if the car is new, the struts will take a little work to get back into place. My car has over 7000 and we had no problems, Adam's and Mark's cars took some work, don't get in hurry, alot enough time to cover littlebumps inthe install and have a good buddy to help you. check out Randy and Nacy how to also. I did mine by myself, the only help I needed was to put the nut on the strut while I compressed it......which my wife did for me.
Yes, the strut springs kinda shoot off, but it's no big deal. Just be sure to point it OUT the garage and make sure no one is in it's path....it only "pops" about a foot or so.

The rear is so easy that it's kinda funny.

Use Randy and Nacy's step by step...it's very easy to do. No special tools needed.

Is this an xB club or a torn jeans Def Leppard Fan Club? You all have torn jeans on, coincidence? I don't think so...

Wait, my car work jeans are torn too... oh ____.... does that mean?

"I'm hot, stickin sweet, from my head, to my feet, yeah!"

dont worry about compressing springs...just do it between two tires...

you las vegas guys are funny. looks like you have a good team over there.

hey lou, your car looks almost just like mine now. randode and i just installed goldlines on my car last weekend. i love them. the ride is great, better than stock in my opinion. since everyone has been talking about having a "twin" of their car, your is the closest i've seen to mine as of right now. oh, except i don't have the rear wing or the photoshopped graphics on the side of my car. :)

me and my buddy lowered mine in my garage monday night.. he had a spring compressor.. so that gave me piece of mind that I wouldnt be killing women and small children when those things pop off.. it took us about an hour and a half to finish up the whole job.. the goldlines do ride great...

looks like its more than 2" in the front

My car has fully settled and it likes 2 1\8 total drop, But when me and my best friend sit in the car we have close to 600 lbs in the front. The gold lines are smooth and seem to be a great spring, Mark's thundercloud xb is really pimpin. His Chrome Lexani's and silver color really complement each other and not being a white one has its own benefits here in Vegas.

Eric, we are a tight group, we are always willing to dive in and help each other out. We are hoping that the other scion owner here will get as enthusiastic as we are about our cars. We always have fun. Bill

if you lay the strut on the ground, and put your foot on it while you gun the nut off, it will not shoot out. It is under pressure, but not a lot. It will kinda just pop apart. its really nothing to be affraid of.

exactly....funny thing was that both of my spring hats stuck on after I took the nuts off.......so I had to smack 'um with a hammer and then the spring popped off.......no big deal, but some people might pinch a finger or get hit in the jaw if they tried to look to see why it was stuck.

Randy, have you found that cars with less than 3,000 miles you have to work the strut a little to go back in place, we had that with two xb yesterday. Mine had 7000 miles when I lowered it, it was no problem.I thought I would check with you. Bill

Much thanks go to Bill for gettin the deal on the springs.........and obviously thanks to Bill and Stretch for doin the install. The springs probably aren't even fully settled yet.........so after a week or two.......I'll do another measurement and post the results.

James.........no......the butt shots didn't come out.........I told you to put your white a$$ away or it was gonna overexpose the shot.......but nooooooo. But seriously.....the shots from the back didn't turn out so good. I didn't get a decent angle to show the difference.
