Just got 'the call'.


Going to pick the car up tomorow evening. Silver Streak stripped down 5 speed. I origionaly ordered a FM but gave up and went with the silver streak. Anyway look forward everyone to another owner that likes contributing to the car community [though my opinion can be a bit skewed some times].


PS. Think my dealler ever had someone skateboard in and pay cash for a new car? Its gona happen tomorow

Similar thing just happened to me. Car got totaled. Luckily after many phone calls i found one that wasn't spoken for at the dealership less then 3 miles from my house. Silverstreak Auto. Not my favorite color choice but if it means me getting into a car in the next week or 2 i'll take it.

Car is "in transit" from the new york port and i was told it WILL be in sometime before christmas. Merry Christmas to me

 

Yes, just got it last night, My car (saturn sc2) got totalled 2 weeks ago and it was looking bleek for awhile. Several dealers were in the works trying to get the car I wanted. I was holding out for a 5speed FM. And right when I was going to go to one dealership and agree to one that came in next friday, I made a last ditch effort to find one now. And the last dealership I called (15 miles from home) had just gotten one in that day, and no one had claimed it. Of course I gave him the down payment over the phone, and went to see it for my self, I didnt believe him. And yet sure enough when I got there, there it was, my beauty. I still cant beleive it is actually in my driveway and I have the keys.

 

Think the dealer has ever had any sketchy people waiting around the lot to jump kids on skateboards with a huge wads of cash?
