Default stock struts out, new ones in!

My car is at 42,000 miles and has been dropped on tein h-techs since about 25,000 miles. The stock struts seem to be getting pretty rough. Is that normal wear time for stock struts(considering michigan roads are littered with potholes)? I knew that I would have to replace them after installing lowering springs but I'd like to get as much use as I can out of them. I was thinking of ordering the tokicos off of ebay. Any reccomendations before I order? Is there a strut replacement guide here? I couldnt find one searching.

for a direct replacement, id say Tokicos just because its a basic swap. if you want something better id say Koni Yellows. Although there is some slight modification to the fronts for the Koni's. You'll have to keep your stock strut mount because they're an insert.

I don't want to do the modification for the Koni's. Plus the tokicos seem to get a lot of compliments and are they are cheaper. How do the tokicos ride compared to stock? this is my dd not my track car, but I definately want the bump in handling. Thinkin of getting a trd rear sway as well.

I have Tokico/Tein S-Tech/TRD Rear Sway. It's fun to drive, offers a nice compromise between handling/responsiveness and comfort.

Cool. I am gonna order some tokico's off ebay right now. Has anyone installed these themselves on their car? If not, about how much does prof. installation run?
