Dealing with Springfield Toyota Scion has been a little long, but not a bad experience. After hounding my dealer to death about the allocation of my car, I finally got it today and was in and out of their in record time. They told me between 6-8 weeks for the car and it was about 9 and a half, which turns out, was not all that bad, seeing as how everyone is having the same issue. They also stuck by the value of my trade in, their theory was that it was not my fault the car was taking so long to come in, and that they would stick with the original price. Now that is how you make new customers and repeat customers. I would say go to Springfield for you car, but as far as dealing with dealers, this goes for any of them, ask about everything, because I didn’t understand how everything worked, which then caused me to be upset, and then give my dealer a hard time. It should be explained when you’re ordering the car, but if you ask they will tell. Over all, I give them an 8 and ½.

And another thing, if your dealer doesn’t call you, and you want to know what’s going on, call them, even if it makes you look like an a-hole.

Thanks for the good words, but I want to make sure of one thing. At no point did you ever fall in to the category of a-hole customer. There's nothing at all wrong with asking questions... ever. As long as you're willing to accept the answers, ask away. You learned that the answers were not always exactly what you wanted, but you worked with that just fine. It was a genuine pleasure to work with you and your mom on the deal. I told you mom that it is rare that I'm actually excited about getting a car to a customer like I did with this one. Your enthusiasm was and is great. I know you'll love and appreciate the car.

sorry to revive this from the dead, but i just wanted to throw my 2cents in.

Steve took GREAT care of me, even through all my harassment about trying to find me a car quicker than waiting for allocatment. i only ended up waiting about 3 weeks, so im happy, the car is wonderful!

overall im glad i waited and i got my new car with only 1 mile on it!:)

GREAT experiance, and thanks to Steve.

Thanks for the review Manning. It was funny to watch your dad during the paperwork. It was like he kept expecting something bad to happen. He looked a bit shocked at the end when he realized we were done and everything had gone smoothly.

i must say... ive talked to steve twice this morning about his '06's coming in and he's been nothing but helpful. after talking with him i didnt even bother calling the other couple dealerships in my area that were left on my list.... i'll be sure to post my experience after this is all said and done.
