I need to get the front rotors resurfaced. How do I remove the rotor? The rotor seems to be held on by a large nut. If I remove the nut, will the rotor slide off. What size socket do I need for that nut?

You have to remove the caliper (don't disconnect the brake line; hang the caliper up out of the way so it won't be harmed) and knock of the rotor from the back. bB2NER 07-03-2008, 03:45 AM There are small threaded holes you thread a bolt into and it pushes the rotor off. Same thing for the rear drums, not sure what size or thread tho. |
